Taino Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 A good friend told me this year HSA is coming up with 2 new RyJ one format for women and one they are calling the wide churchill. Basically a robusto -a bit longer actually- on steroids (55 ring gauge). Labeling will be same as the short churchill with 2 labels one red one gold. Any thoughts?

Colt45 Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Rob has mentioned the "Julieta" for women, but I don't recall hearing anything about the wide churchill. Of the two, I'd be more likely to try the "women's" cigar - fifty five ring is a bit unwieldy for me.
tigger Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Gotta do something with all of the tobacco that they aren't using for the long, thin cigars they won't be rolling any longer, I guess.
PigFish Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 ... did he mention an hour-glass figure? 55-35-55? Or is there something new planned for the design of the head? H SA is one ****ed up company! - Piggy
mkz Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 (55 ring gauge) Does it come with a free jaw-adjustment?
cigaraholic Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 55 ring gauge, isn't that small for a woman's cigar?
thechenman Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Obviously they haven't recieved all our letters yet...
Stalebread Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 "Wide" does not sound too great. I'll go along with that. Uninviting, to say the least. But maybe it's just a working title. They'll come up with something really cool before it's actually released. Look how we all immediately fell in love with OPEN.

Mel Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 This has got to be a joke, right? Is it a pointed tip for easy insertion? What I know about women, very little, says they do not go for products wiht the word wide in it.
stargazer14 Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Found a spy photo of one being tested... Marketing quote rumored to be - "It takes a special woman to handle a Wide one."

What I know about women, very little, says they do not go for products wiht the word wide in it. Two different cigars. The "Julieta" is for women. The "wide" is, I guess, for everyone else. It all seems so . . . so sordid. So depraved. To what depths has Habanos SA sunk?

sbarford Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 But it has a gentle glide applicator! Hey Guys, Me and my buddy smoked a Wide Churchill last night. We both love the Short Churchill and are big fans of the larger sizes. We both hated the Wide Churchill. No flavor...really a boring cigar. I don't even think it would get better with age. This is my first post:)
