I went into the humidor and pulled out an H. Upmann Mag 46 from 2005. I just stared at it for a minute admiring that band. Something about the old dull brown band that I just love. I can't get used to the new ones. This got me thinking...was I the only one?

I think part of the problem was that they were damn easy to fake

I am also a fan of the old brown band. I can't believe they would be that much easier to fake than the Monte bands which have not really changed

Look at pre-revolution H.Upmann's band on Trevor's site

Those are awesome. I especially like the Shell one.

GTS21 - Those are impressive. I would love to hear how those taste. Have you had one yet?

I would second that...

I really like this band...

IMO the old band looked too similar to the Monte band, and was dumpy.

The new band is more in line with the rest of Habanos bands, but may be a touch overzealous for the HU marca?
