Bartolomeo Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Initial is some sweet spice Cigar reminded me of a big strong guy but when you actually get to know him, he's a push over, a real Teddy bear Loads of smoke Light chocolate, hints of leather, cinnamon Kind of enjoyed it b/c it doesnt show any true Bolivar flavors which I dont care for except Simones RE Enjoyed the flavors but a little too mild for me maybe.......Stop the Press, turns into Medium in the 2/3 Long, White/Grey layered ash, great draw, perfect construction Maybe a good golf course smoke if you want something light after gulping down that chili dog at the turn Cigar turned the corner in the 2/3 opening up with some more flavors and strength Ended up really enjoying this smoke, mouth watering flavors Understand it only comes in a 50 Cab so I am off to search for singles 9.2/10 Bart
CigarmanTim Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 There are now 2 of us who enjoy this Regional. I still have 4 left
KB24 Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Decided to light up my only one last night in honor of my son's 1st Birthday after he went to sleep. The cigar had been in my humidor since it's release kept at 65/65. It was my first ever Bolivar so I'm not exactly sure what other Bolivars taste like but I really enjoyed this one. It wasn't too strong, perhaps medium bodied throughout. The ash was a dark grey and held on for about an inch before falling on it's own. The burn wasn't exactly straight but corrected itself each time it began to canoe. I'm not the greatest at detecting flavors but I got some toasted tobacco, leather and spice. Lot's of smoke as the draw was nearly perfect in my opinion. Towards the end of the cigar the spice picked up but not overwhelming at all. I really enjoyed this cigar. Just wish I had a few more. -Patrick
dicko Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 You don't like bolivars?? my world just got rocked! great review as always
CanuckSARTech Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Nice Bart. Good review. You almost distracted me with the chili dog, though!!!
kjellfrick Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Thanks Bart! I just don't get it with the Simones having typical Bolivar taste, but maybe that isn't what you meant? Simones taste like a typical regional to me. Very tasty, though...I like the christmas cake flavours! The Colosales I've smoked have been easygoing but enjoyable like you say.
