cigaraholic Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Cuaba Exclusivos OEB NOV06 Appearance: A little rustic but a good looking cigar. Wrapper wasn't real dark but I've had great luck with every shade of wrapper from this brand. Construction: Very solid, 9.9 gr. Aroma: very faint roasted tobacco and coffee. Draw: Just right, a little tight with a powerful tobacco flavor, I'm already happy. Burn: Perfect. Body: Started out a little under medium and finished a little over medium. Time: 57 min. Drink: Started with coffee then had to add some cognac to it. Opening: Bingo!! carmel, cream, vanilla, coffee and sweet roasted nuts. With a start like this you just say "don't change" 1/3: All the flavors meld into butterscotch and peanut brittle. 2/3: Sweet roasted nuts, buttercream and toffee as the cigar picks up a little strength. Final: A little more strength and now I have a chocolate carmel delight. A great cigar that I didn't want to end. One you could smoke anytime, light enough for the morning and rich enough for after dinner. Desert for one hour and zero calories. Score: 93
smll2 Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Wow....great review...I wonder if recent production is excellent as well.
Buch0 Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 That flavour profile reminds me of Siglo VI when they are at their best minus the butterscotch. Thanks for the review, might have to try a few samplers of this.
thechenman Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Great review and pics. I've not had much luck with the Cuabas I've smoked with the exception of the 08 EL. Haven't given up on them though. Still...I'm closing in on the breaking point.
