So the story goes that in the closing hours before the embargo on Cuba, JFK had his secretary buy 1200 Upmann Petit Upmann cigars for his own personal stash. So, I guess we know the answer to this question for him.

What's your answer - you can make the call and get an unlimited amount of cigars, but it's your last chance and you can only pick one cigar? It's going to be the only one you can smoke from now until eternity...For the purposes of the 'survey' (ahem) I feel we should ignore cigars that are produced in extremely limited editions or are freakishly rare.

My answer would be (predictable and unimaginative though it is) the Montecristo #2. A good one is fantastic, and while I don't get through the volume of any of the professionals on the site, I have never had one that was bad, merely a few that were 'average'. It's a forever friend, the labrador of cigars...

Tough call - I'd have to flip a coin between the Bolivar Corona Gigantes and the H. Upmann Sir Winston. There are a few others I could live with as well.

Another for the Partagas 898 V. Could cut it in half for a barbarian Partagas Short or as is known around here....a 4 4.5 4 :lol3:

A ****** move on his part. I think Oswald would agree.

Party SP2 or SD4 for me.

******, or genius? I have to go with the latter - just 'cos everyone else can't have them, doesn't mean you shouldn't.

Acting on insider information for personal gain while leaving your fellow countrymen high and dry = something a real ****** would do imo.

Sounds like every politician, ever. If it's any consolation to you, I doubt he managed to smoke them all.

He could have at least gave everyone warning that it was about to take effect. Did the embargo occur through a majority vote in congress, or as an executive order from the president?

I think I am leaning towards a "good" Monte #4

This is a tough call, but upon thinking about it I would go with the Party 898V.
