6 years of serious ballroom dancing until the age of 16. Almost like riding a bike - you never forget.

The girls in the sport are mostly hot, shame I was too young to really act on it :D

Besides Ken........who on the forum can actually dance? I mean...Dance well?

OK, I'm seeing a pattern here:

1. Rob looks for advice on quick weight-loss.

2. Rob says he's going on the wagon.

3. Rob soliciting info from good dancers.

Anyone else here think Rob may have a new boyfriend? :D

I am married to a black woman, so the pressure is on me. I am getting better, after 10 years I am beginning to hold my own.

Pres, are you organizing a competitive dance off for cigar prizes? If so, I'm in and would be willing to participate via live satelite feed to Australia.

Can't dance - feels way too awkward. I'm the one that ends up holding people bags while they go and dance.

I'm impressed by how many members have had lessons. More than I expected for sure. My wife and I started off learning Latin dances and have moved on to ball-room in the last couple years. As Tampa said - leading a lady is a mighty fine feeling. I wouldn't do competition though, that's when it gets a bit weird.

I also second the points about the girls that dance. Pretty hot as a rule. Plus if I was a single guy I would be at the dances as much as I could handle. The salsa night we went to a little while back had about 2 girls for every guy there.

Get yourself some lessons, proper shoes and get amonst it fellas !!

Dancing is for those that cant afford buying drinks at the bar... :)

Seriously, I envy those of you that can. I only "dance" when I´m drunk as a lemur. Its not a pretty sight...

:buddies: I'm with mkz on this...The only dancing I've done recently is in a backyard football endzone dance.

As about a 13 year old, I won (with my partner) a jitterbug dance contest at the end of the dance class.

I don't really like to dance, and didn't like it much back then. Parental requirement, ya know.
