Shelby07 Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Dancing is for those that cant afford buying drinks at the bar... ... HAHAHA - I think you have it backwards!
buster Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 I've been told I do a respectable horizontal tango Rick
Danashan Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 6 years of serious ballroom dancing until the age of 16. Almost like riding a bike - you never forget. The girls in the sport are mostly hot, shame I was too young to really act on it
anacostiakat Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Actually I can dance. Was a big handdancer in my yout. I know a few different styles.
buster Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Besides Ken........who on the forum can actually dance? I mean...Dance well? OK, I'm seeing a pattern here: 1. Rob looks for advice on quick weight-loss. 2. Rob says he's going on the wagon. 3. Rob soliciting info from good dancers. Anyone else here think Rob may have a new boyfriend? Rick
smk819 Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 I am married to a black woman, so the pressure is on me. I am getting better, after 10 years I am beginning to hold my own.
jquest63 Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Pres, are you organizing a competitive dance off for cigar prizes? If so, I'm in and would be willing to participate via live satelite feed to Australia.
Colt45 Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Anyone else here think Rob may have a new boyfriend? Or looking for one.....
tyler4178 Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I always wanted to be Billy Idol's backup dancer. Oh wait, is that Smithy at 0:32 ????
MrGlass Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Can't dance - feels way too awkward. I'm the one that ends up holding people bags while they go and dance.
bolivr Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I'm impressed by how many members have had lessons. More than I expected for sure. My wife and I started off learning Latin dances and have moved on to ball-room in the last couple years. As Tampa said - leading a lady is a mighty fine feeling. I wouldn't do competition though, that's when it gets a bit weird. I also second the points about the girls that dance. Pretty hot as a rule. Plus if I was a single guy I would be at the dances as much as I could handle. The salsa night we went to a little while back had about 2 girls for every guy there. Get yourself some lessons, proper shoes and get amonst it fellas !!
TrickNick Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 My wife and I just started lessons. Ping me next year and see where we are...
jmasterj Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Dancing is for those that cant afford buying drinks at the bar... Seriously, I envy those of you that can. I only "dance" when I´m drunk as a lemur. Its not a pretty sight... I'm with mkz on this...The only dancing I've done recently is in a backyard football endzone dance.
riderpride Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 With enough gin, absolutely! Mostly the Ickey Shuffle and the Elaine Bennes mixed in with stirring the soup, the sprinkler, and the shopping cart...
habone Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I can dirty dance and bump and grind...its reeeal sleeezy!! Lol
Van55 Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 As about a 13 year old, I won (with my partner) a jitterbug dance contest at the end of the dance class. I don't really like to dance, and didn't like it much back then. Parental requirement, ya know.
Yoruba Hacker Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 I'm Nigerian. 'Nuff said. Can't imagine not enjoying dancing. Few things I enjoy more.
