I actually prefer the smaller ring gauges between 42-50rg. Robusto size is probably the biggest I enjoy. Tend to be cumbersome above that like chewing too big of a bite of steak. i.e. one of my fave NC's is the Padron 64 o 26 in the monarca format.

So, what do you suggest in that rg with my flavor profile? I am already taking into account the Por Larranaga Corona for one.....

Agreeing with Wil, 50 ring gauge is thick - 42 is [literally] the definition of the middle-of-the-road; smaller than 42 is smaller ring gauge, larger than 42 is larger ring gauge.

If you like the Padron 64, I'm going to assume you like fuller cigars with chocolate notes. Look toward Vegas Robaina, any size. Montecristo as well. the Ramon Allones Specially Selected will likely fulfill your needs, and in a robusto format.

You've been given some great suggestions already - to echo a few:

La Gloria Cubana Medaille D'Or No.2

La Gloria Cubana Tainos

Hoyo De Monterrey Double Corona (these can take some time)

Hoyo De Monterrey Epicure No.1

Partagas Serie Du Connaisseur Line

Partagas 898V

These have pretty much all been mentioned already, and of course have various profiles. But you should be able to find different sides of what you're

looking for with these and many of the other suggestions.

I just enjoyed one of these last night. Quite nice, but factor in a very comfy seat - you'll be at it for a while.

The Vegas Robaina Unicos is a very nice cigar full of chocolate characteristics and is a thicker guage (52) :)

On the flip side, a COHIBA Secretos is a much thinner cigar (40) but equally pleasant, with lots of chocolate, cream, mocha flavours. :):D

Enjoy! ;)

The Unico is pretty much exactly what I had in mind :D

If you're smart, you'll first try some Guantanameras. You can't lose. If you like 'em, you'll save a lot of money in the long run. If you don't like 'em, give up on Habanos. You'll save even more.

LOL. Perhaps the smart thing to do is quit while I'm ahead. I see FOH members cabs/humis in the photo gallery. Insane!

TY for the input. Have already done some window shopping but being Christmas time, a lot of these CC's are out of stock. Will be on the look out.

Most would consider 50rg to be thick.

If you like Robustos, the CoRo and PSD4 are a great start.

I don't have much experience with anything smaller gauge than Petit Coronas, but have picked up some Partagas Serie du Connaisseur no 2s to try. They look fantastic.

Sorry, but what is CoRo?

LOL. I figured it out a couple of minutes after I sent you the reply. Such a newbie! Thanks.

Not to worry... it's not like I don't have a big flat spot above my eyes from slapping myself in the forehead too many times. There's a reason my avatar is a Stooge! :D

If you like a caramel like flavors I would recomend you give the Por Larranaga Petit Coronas a try.

Included the Por Larranaga Petit Coronas. The Corona format is actually my favorite. Very excited to try these.

This has sampler pack written all over it. Order a sampler pack based on the suggestions that have been posted. I'd suggest 2-3 of each so you get a decent representation of each cigar.

UCLA 695. I'm in a suburb from where you are at. Which cigar lounges do you like to smoke?
