cigaraholic Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 RASCC TEB ABR08 Appearance: not the prettiest cigar in the world, a little bumpy and veiny. Construction: nice and solid, no soft spots. Aroma: earthy, leathery tobacco. Draw: smooth, unrestricted. Burn: went off slightly but corrected itself. Body: medium Time: 38 min. Drink: coffee Opening: beautiful carmel and spice flavors. 1/3: flavors went mute for a while then opened up again with roasted nuts, brown sugar and gingerbread. 2/3: got a little stronger with leather added to the brown spice, sweetness comes in and out. Final 1/3: rich leather and sweet brown spice that leaves a delicious flavor in the mouth. This must be my favorite tres petit corona because I have more boxes of this than any other brand. The fact that the flavors went mute for a while and the sweetness came and went shows me that this cigar need a few more years to come together. Score: 88
samb Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Been thinking about picking up a box of these at some point. Nice review.
vivalanation734 Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Holy Crap. That's a great looking box of RASCC. I need to get me some...
jkljkl Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Good review. I actually just picked up a box myself. Although you say they need more time, I hope my box looks as good as yours. Unless that's a dark camera shot, those Small Clubs look incredible. Dark and dusty. Just the way I like them. Give it a year and those cigars should turn to gold! That's a nice thought. How rich would you be if your cigars were made of gold?
ilgatto Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 I love these cigars. I have one to smoke now in the cold weather and another resting for the future. As of now I like them better than the RASS which I thought was over rated but they are starting to come around also.
thechenman Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 I too am a big fan of the RASCC. A great cold weather smoke. It really delivers a lot in a short amount of time.
cigaraholic Posted December 9, 2009 Author Posted December 9, 2009 A cold weather smoke is a must right now in N. Calif. 17 last night. No large cigar reviews this week unless it warms up. My camera is very accurate color wise, old Sony with big Zeiss lens, takes great pictures.
MontrealRon Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 My favorite TPC as well. I'm now smoking '05s and '06's. I also have a box of early '08's that I haven't even broken the seals on yet, but your box looks so awesome, I will have to take a look! Many thanks for the great review!
