vivalanation734 Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 Cohiba Siglo II Size: 5" (129mm) x 42 Construction: Superb. Nice triple cap. No soft spots. Pre-light draw: Perfect resistance, slight hay and cinnamon flavor. -first puff, hay, grass, and a subtle sweetness -a little harsh, but enjoyable -mild-medium, easy to retrohale once the harshness subsided. -charcoal and cedar flavors are making themselves present with hints of burnt sugar. An interesting yet, enjoyable combo... -beautiful sweet aroma. Very clean and enjoyable -still fairly grassy with some sweet woody flavors -2nd third... Stick is getting harsh and bitter -creamy and grassy, bitterness is gone, now approaching the final third. -final third is very grassy with a little more heft. Not too enjoyable at this point probably gonna toss it.... Final rating: 89. Good but not worth the pricetag. Luckily this was a gift. Pics:
Ellery Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Thanks for the review. I've smoked a couple of the 08s and thought they were quite tasty.
thechenman Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Thanks for the review. I rather like the Sig IIs myself. But you're right on the price point. There are many better Cuban cigars for far less coin.
Wil Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Don't give up on these, they can be fantastic. Smoked a fantastic specimen at the Hotel Nacional in June.
