Colt45 Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Member Wolfe Tone. While Jack was a member here, he was more of a regular member of another board. I had the good fortune to meet him in Boston in 2008, during a visit by Professor Twain. Unfortunately, it was the only time we were able to meet, but you don't forget a man like Jack, or for that matter, his group of friends. Jack and his group were very generous and made me feel at home right off the bat, and I'll never forget it. Jack passed just a month ago, but I just read about it now. I know most here do not know him, but I felt the need to post this just the same. So Jack, you won't be forgotten, and when I next light up in town, and every time I light up, I'll raise one to you. Cheers Mate. Jack O'Halloran - Boston Ma. August 14th 2008 (PT, I hope you don't mind me using this photo):
Van55 Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Thanks for remembering Jack over here, Colt. He was a good friend to many at HCF, and he is sorely missed.
thechenman Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 RIP Wolfe Tone...while I didn't know you...we are all BOTLs...

El Presidente Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Rest in peace Jack. I look forward to catching up on the other side.
laficion Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 RIP Wolfe Tone, Thanks Ross for telling us a little bit about him.
kilroy Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 I got to know Jack some while he was down working in Florida last year. He'd join Professor Twain and myself for cigars. He was a fun guy to smoke a cigar with. I'll miss him.
Tampa1257 Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Jack "Wolf Tone" O'Halloran was a generous fellow that I had the opportunity to meet several times. I spoke with him on his last trip down to Florida and we made arrangements to get together for a cigar during his trip back to the Boston area, unfortunately his plans were changed and we had to cancel. I am truly sorry for that now. Those that knew him appreciated his sharp wit and ability to laugh at life in general. He is missed by many. R.I.P. Jack.
compitaveggie Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 RIP Mr. Jack. My next cigar will be for you. Jose
Professor Twain Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Nice to see this thread here, and of course I am glad that you used the pic from the Boston Sit Down Colt. Jack was a great guy, funny, irreverent, fiercely loyal to his friends, and committed to social justice. He loved fishing, hunting, and the damn Boston Red Sox. That night in Boston was a memorable occasion. I saw Jack several times during his visits to Florida as well and we spoke by phone occasionally. I found another picture of Jack from one of his visits to Tampa, in about 2006. We had Culebras (the OLD machine made ones from 2002) and posed and took this picture. Left to right is Tampa1257 (Chuck_, Jack, me, and Pyro Dave And another one of Jack just enjoying a great cigar and some fun: He was the best.
