currently at melbourne airport. flights still going but qantas have suffered a worldwide crash in their boarding pass system. apparently, no one anywhere on the planet can get a boarding pass. but if you have one, no problem. thank god i got this evening's when i checked in for this morning's flight.

what a mess. qantas have just announced that anyone flying in the next 24 hours who does not have a pass should contact reservations to try and see if they can delay.

So this is what are increased airfares are paying for. I recently returned from a quick jaunt of a few days to our nation's capital. On this trip, I had the priveleage of paying to have my bag lost. Go figure? They charge you $25 to check-in a bag, and for that, they will conveniently misplace your bag and end up sending it halfway across the country. I mean come on...its not far from NYC to DC. How do you manage to lose a damn suitcase.
