Popular Post MattW Posted October 27, 2015 Popular Post Posted October 27, 2015 PL Encantos yesterday evening. My first ever Encantos and the first from a box from a 24:72 a couple of months back. What a beautifully balanced cigar, fantastic! I only hope the rest of the box are like that! 5
DoubleDD Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 JO EL Churchill earlier this evening. It was good, but nothing like the first one I had a month or month a half ago. 20151026_182109.jpg Might be going sick. 1

I have gone through 5 boxes of these in the past few years and they have been getting better and better, but just within the last 6 months, they have been amazing... 1
luv2fly Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 I kick myself for not getting some when they were available.
smokeyjoe01 Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 SLR Lonsdale with a fruity ale Would be better paired with a malty one or a stout really... Ah that's better 1
danny Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Had a Monte #3, Cohiba Esplendido, RyJ Churchill, and a Monte #2 the past 4 days. All were fantastic and spot on, given that the oldest of the bunch was the Monte #3 with only 3 years on it.
Lotusguy Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 I kick myself for not getting some when they were available. They are readily available.

Popular Post rmill3r Posted October 28, 2015 Popular Post Posted October 28, 2015 Decided to have one of the 2006 Por Larranaga Panetelas from Prez & Co ROTT. Everyone goes on and on about how good Por Larranaga is for aging and how well the caramel notes comes through in 5 or 6+ years or so. I decided to also have a young(ish) Montecarlo from a box that I've been setting aside in vague hopes of aging on my own right after it... The 06 PLP certainly had that caramel note. I was wondering if I was even going to taste it or just find out that all of you are frauds, but sure enough, this stick was very smooth, creamy, sweet, and caramel. My only complaint is that other than the last third and part of the second third, the cigar seemed too "subdued" or too "weak." There was a strength this cigar seemed to be missing. Normally, I love the thought of a smooth, creamy cigar that isn't too powerful or strong which often leaves me feeling less than great by the end of the smoke, but with this one, I was kind of hoping for a little more edge. The '14 Montecarlo showed a lot of the same sweetness. I could even detect the caramel notes quite clearly like I could in the 06 PLP, but there was an extra "darker" note. That's the only way I can think to describe it: the Montecarlo was "darker" than the PLP. The strength was a bit more in the medium range rather than mild--which I personally preferred when all was said and done--but it was missing this balanced complexity that the PLP had. I'm not sure how I feel about this yet, but this is my first foray into aged cigars, so I can't wait to see what more there is to try, as well as which cigars I'm able to age on my own. 5
Popular Post saintsmokealot Posted October 28, 2015 Popular Post Posted October 28, 2015 Sunday was my 1st anniversary so I celebrated with a CGR. Only 1 left so I don't know if I will ever smoke it. This morning is a POU 13 Ex 4 with a Mexican Coke. 8
