rmill3r Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Been trying a bunch of new releases and new acquisitions lately. IMO, HSA is on a winning streak at the moment. Not a bad one in the bunch. I especially enjoyed the RA LE and PL RE. The Upmann Reserva was tasty but suffered from bad burn. The Davidoff was rather nice, actually - I wanted to smoke a Davidoff in the Davidoff lounge. The CoRo is from my 2008 box. Outstanding! The RA EL was very enjoyable. Didn't taste like a generic LE at all. The youth only showed in the last third. Pretty full bodied for a RA. Disclaimer: Huge RA fan here.

Lotusguy Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 First Vigia tubo. Milder than previous examples and better constructed (others had a tad loose draw). Pretty tubo. Now a Partagas Maduro #1. I wanted to hate this, but it's actually rather enjoyable. The wrapper isn't really Maduro at all. Earthy and nutty with a noticeable sweetness. Might have to get a few more after this. 3

I could tell the flavours were there but the high humidity made it hard for them to shine. It was also slightly underfilled. I'll have to pick up a couple more singles before I pass judgment on it. LutzSpearo Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 H.Upmann Magnum 50 MUL MAR 15 Draw is a little loose so only lasted about 1hr 20min. But burn was sharp and even. Flavor started out pretty tasty, but after the first third it became quite bland. Maybe medium in strength and body, but not more. Picked up two PSP/HQ 10 count boxes from a recent 24:24 thread. I realize they are young, hopefully the flavors become more interesting in a few years? 2
