Homebrew
Wow, that is a lot of driving! Good to see you made it back safe and sound and found a very nice way to reward yourself Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I smoke a lot of C&Cs while I drive, makes it almost not seem like work, sometimes.. By the way, I have since changed to home made root Beer, @ 5% ABV, and it is a better pairing, than Guinness, during the last third. Dave (A.K.A. earthson
Yesterday, a 2011 Siglo VI tubo. Pretty nice experience - progression of good flavors tied together with that buttery, beany core. A bit big of a RG for me at 52. Didnt have that tight draw I like at the end. Today a wonderful 2009 Fonseca no 1 - my first of this marca. Began with an explosion of citrusy cream. First 1/3 was this creamy note over a sweet, floral, woody base. An honest taste of barrel-aged whiskey announced the 2/3 mark, which was creamy and somewhat sweet; the finish was the woody, foresty, sometimes mushroomy finish of a good Punch. The last 1/3 started like a whole other cigar! Intensely sweet milk coffee - almost like a Montecristo. Ended on a note of plain, quality toasted tobacco. A shame these are being discontinued...

Popular Post Habana Mike
2003 Reserva Esplendido Aged 3 years before release the tobacco in these is 15 years old now. Excellent construction, wrapper a touch darker than typical for a Cohiba. Silky and smooth. Was going to smoke the Robusto but the draw was tighter than I like so off to the dry box for that one. This one has the perfect draw. Starts with light orange, cream, marzipan. Notes of vanilla and cedar enter toward the center. Finishes with cocoa leading the way. Medium bodied, medium strength. A quite good cigar and enjoyable afternoon smoke.

LLC
Picked up this Esplendido at the Toronto Megaherf in an auction last year. Remember being told the details of this special release but don't remember them. In any case it was awesome; not like the normal Siglo line I enjoy as it was more creamy with some sweetness on the finish. I know it has some age but maybe someone else may no more details on this one.

Popular Post billh1
What a great day! I had a Monte 5 this morning before going to church with my family and then we went out to lunch after which I took my traditional Sunday afternoon nap! Next, I was off to softball practice where I coach a local Special Olympics Softball Team. Today was our final practice before next weekends Regional Tournament so we worked them pretty hard. Now I'm back on the deck, much to my wife's chagrin, with my feet up, a Salty Dog and that ULA NOV 13 Bolivar Libertador I had hoped I'd get to tonight! While my wife may not like my cigar indulgence, Sadie rather enjoys our time outdoors! I'm not really a fan of larger ring gauges on CCs but I love the Bolivar marca and the flavor profile on this cigar is spot on! I could definitely support a box purchase of these bad boys! Have a great week everyone! Cheers! Bill
subport
Ramón Allones superiores (ula oct 14) I´m amazed. Absolutely lovely smoke. Yes, it has edges but no harness at all. Actually loved the darker notes coming from its youth. Made it well balanced with the fruity core. Will be hard to keep my hands off. Do I really want to? Though it has legs. lots of. Only has two boxes. Will go through one of them soon for sure.
