Popular Post Ginseng Posted July 30, 2015 Popular Post Posted July 30, 2015 Monte Sublime on the deck. Last chance to enjoy a leisurely smoke at home before we haul off to Hawaii for vacation. Hadn't touched these in years. Have to say they've turned into a very nice smoke. Wilkey 7
fabes Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 A splendid '14 La Fuerza. Wish these were corona gordas instead of gorditos, but still a great cigar.
Lotusguy Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Looks like Oysters Were you at DIA? ATL has one of the best smoking lounges in the US as well. Gordon Biersch on Concourse A - get a meal a beer and cigar friendly! It was indeed Denver International. The lounge is called "The Smoking Bear" in Concourse C. Unfortunately, their lease runs out in 2018 and the airport already announced they will not renew it And yes, the Bull gonads are mighty tasty - I've eaten much stranger things in Asia
Lotusguy Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Two absolutely outstanding sticks tonight: 2002 ERDM Coronas Deluxe and JL Minutos RE Francia. Just wow. 4

Popular Post billh1 Posted July 31, 2015 Popular Post Posted July 31, 2015 My first ever HDM Double Corona is a MOB SEP 14 from our host...this may take a while! Paired with a North Coast Brewing Company Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout. I thought the stout might enhance the cigars natural flavors. Shout out to my new brother Tim who has 5 of these headed his way. First impression...WOW! I'm not sure exactly what I was expecting but this taste nothing like any HDM I've had previously. I'm getting loads of stewed fruit...kinda like a RASS on steroids! I hope with a cigar of this size I'll see some progression but honestly if it stayed like this for 2 1/2 hours I'd be perfectly content. This is a glorious cigar at least initially... Having worked my way into the second 3rd I still get that beautiful sweet stewed fruit goodness as the dominant flavor but I've picked up hints of chocolate and citrus as well... Two hours later as I begin my final assault on the summit I'm detecting more leather and cedar but it's still got that stewed fruit flavor hanging around, just not as in your face. It's also beginning to build a little in strength becoming solidly medium. I thought I bought these to age but if they all smoke like this one it'll be hard to leave them alone. Listening to Dave Matthew Band, contemplating the meaning of life I'm beginning to think this could be my stranded on a deserted island cigar...? It continued to build to Medium Full in the last 2 inches but never became harsh. This was nearly 3 hours of pure bliss. Cheers! Bill 12
