subport Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 H.Upmann Coni 1 (PLM MAY 11) Larsen vsop Good mid-week treatment 1
Boosted Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Last night after work I had a PL Encantos. While I am on my break from work, I am smoking a JL #1 PSM FEB 13. All I can say is wow! This is the second one in a few weeks, and they have both been spectacular. Just a flowerbomb with some creaminess and leather. 3
Walt69 Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Tried the trini reyes again... still not my cup of tea.
Lotusguy Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 HDM San Juan while waiting for the contractors to finish up. Stellar!! 4
sengjc Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Cohiba Siglo I. With some Kavalan Solist Vinho Barrique. A very nice whisky that was recently awarded the title of 2015 World Whisky Award Whisky of the Year. Smells divine. Intense red and dark berry fruit, lush blackcurrants, the winey profile is well integrated but the spirit is mildly hot on the finish. Long finish though that is moderately spicy. Moderately complex but quite clean. My only other reference for a exclusively red wine wood matured malt would be the Glenmorangie Companta that I find to have a bit more bitter-tannic influence and perhaps a little less enjoyable. While I still maintain that the Solist Sherry Cask is the better of the two, this is quite excellent. 3
