ironmike5 Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Boli PC today in the "man cave" while the rain pours outside here in Vegas. Wonderful cigar!
ilgatto Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 I smoked a Boli RC from my 2008 DB today. I was disappointed with the first two especially after the Pres gave them such a ringing endorsement. This was excellent and I believe they are on their way to greatness!
Wil Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 PSD4. Can't be bothered going inside to check the box code, but it's late'08. Lovely stick - really gotten better over the past six months.
SnakeHips Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 I smoked a Muniemaker Londres 100, a Muniemaker Regular and a Topper Old Fashioned Extra Oscuro today...and I enjoyed it...as you might have guessed, times are hard (come on, $56.99 for a box of 50, lol). I'm saving my Czar purchases (and all my Habanos) for semi-special times, until I move into another living arrangement.
thechenman Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Been on a bit of a Punch kick this past weekend as they will be discontinuing my two favorite Punch cigars this year. Punch Royal Seleccion No. 11 - Absolutely phenomenal. Punch Royal Seleccion No. 12 - Another great smoke. Punch Coronas del Punch - Okay...no revelation here. Montecristo No. 3 - What an utter disappointment. Partagas Serie D No. 4 - This one started great, but turned south about a third of the way through. Unusal for the PSD4.

Montecristo No. 3 - What an utter disappointment. Partagas Serie D No. 4 - This one started great, but turned south about a third of the way through. Unusal for the PSD4. Smoke a D4 from a Czar's HQ box over the weekend and they need more time...will have to go back to the 2006 & 2007.
thechenman Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Tonight I lit up an SCdLH La Fuerza. Nearly plugged, but not all the way. Attempted to smoke it and got almost two-thirds through before I finally gave up. Enjoying a cigar should not be such hard work. Bummer.
dizedean Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 RASCC so very disappointing that I ditched it then a Dip 4 most satisfying
Stalebread Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 yesterday, a Partagas 8-9-8 from '05. Mighty fine.
samb Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Monte 4 with Rosemont shiraz after a brutal fight with the fiancee. Smoke and wine really helped.
LiLo Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Smoked a Punch spain 09 gran robusto today that was a plugged POS. threw it out after 5 puffs. Grabbed a Trinidad robusto T. perfection! The more i smoke this cigar the more i love it.
Wil Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Going away for the Australia Day weekend. Taking an incredible looking RASS and a Diplo 2.
samb Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Tonight for me it was an HQ RASS (TEB Mar I believe). It was an outstanding smoke that was enjoyed while doin some homework, lol. A great cigar makes these assignments bearable.
PADDYWHACK121272 Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Partagas SD4 last night - single from 08 - absolute cracker...
thechenman Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Last night I lit up a RyJ Exhibicion No. 4. Draw was a bit on the tighter side, but the real hassle was the 3 relights and the burn that kept running on one side. Given the weather it was definitiely not a humidification issue. Flavors were good, but I much prefer the Short Churchill over the No. 4.
Bahnofstrasse Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 09 PL MonteCarlo...decided to buy a box of these as a change up from my usual quick smoke petite coronas...very enjoyable...typical PL flavors...smooth, creamy, caramel, plenty of smoke...took my time as I did not want to overheat the marca...very nice experience at a great price point...45 minutes of pleasure.
ChanceSchmerr Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Smoked my first Upmann Sir Winston yesterday. Rather young cigar, bought as a single so I don't know the box date. Average cigar, nothing special. But then, Upmann rarely impresses me, I've only really enjoyed the Upmann #2 in the marca.
El Presidente Posted January 24, 2010 Author Posted January 24, 2010 The family was at my parents place at the beach on the weekend while I had the house to myslelf as I worked away trying to finish project. I had a very good 898 V Partagas Saturday afternoon but it was overshadoewd by an absolutely delicious Cuaba Distinguido enjoyed Saturday night. Like smoking peanut brittle.
cgarner Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Just finished a Bolivar RC. Burn was a little off at first and I had to relight it once. But it turned out to be a glorious smoke. I hope my box of HQs show up soon.
CIGARHead Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Smoked an '05 SLR Double Corona that was a bit snug, but just amazingly complex and flavorful. Later smoked a Santos Double Robusto - dddddamn was it good!
android Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 SLR Churchill AT RPO MAY 2000...cream & cocoa along with a kiss of vanilla & cherry/stewed fruits coming through. Burn and draw were exemplary. Pure smoking enjoyment as I had not touch one in 5+ yrs. Oh how I look forward to the next.
gdmw Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 06 db boli ce.. have never been impressed with this box. lacking personality. should have gotten a cab instead..
thechenman Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Smoked a lonely Vegueros Especiales No. 2 that I found near the bottom of my humdior while doing some rearraging. Having never smoked a Vegueros, I decided, why not? To be honest it was not as bad as i would have expected it to be. It was extremely grassy, started of mild, but definitely was a medium cigar overall. Would I buy a box, or smoke them regularly - hell no...I said they weren't as bad as I expected...I didn't say they were good!
