earthson Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Punch Punch OPG MAR 14. Never had a Punch with less than 4 years on it. If I could base their performance on this one sample, I'd say they're better when they're young. 1st third was cedar with sweetness and mushroom. 2nd third added some nice savory and spicy notes along with the familiar Cuban twang. 3rd third switched to a little chocolate and maybe wet forest before the cedar and mushroom re-emerged. All in all, an exciting smoke. Thanks, fabes! 2

It was pretttty good, not great, but with some more downtime I think it will develop nicely! Very good construction, draw was, in my opinion, perfect. Just a little tight... who doesn't like it a little tight. Amirite? Light draws produced plenty of smoke. Flavours of cedar, earth, sweet fruit, tobacco and pepper, dulled at some points through the 2nd and 3rd. Draw suffered into the last 3rd at points too. Overall enjoyable but definitely leaving them for a few months. I'll check in again at the 1 year mark to re-evaluate! Thanks for celebrating the night with me Robo! I really enjoyed it!
