rmill3r Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 SEP 11 HdM Short Hoyo Piramides EL... been a while since I've had a cigar now, and this would be my very first EL release. I'm getting chalky chocolate and toasty bread; not what I expected from HdM. 2
Tino Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 QdO Panatella, lovely afternoon smoke. Thanks Chris! 2

johndalton44 Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Delicious Short Boli. Awesome from start to end. 1
sengjc Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 From a box split with a kind US BOTL - my first Quesada 40th Anniversary Corona Clasica - a limited batch run of the latest line addition. With the white paper wrapper and bands off, you would be forgiven if you thought this was a late 2000's Montecristo No. 1 or a fat Cohiba Siglo III. The resemblance is amazing. Amazing smoke, a very Cubanesque (Hoyo de Monterrey meets Montecristo?) non-Cuban that retains a distinctly Dominican creaminess. Yet another home-run for Quesada - the king of Cubanesque non-Cubans. This "out-Cubans" some of the more recent production batches of Cubans that I have sampled. It is so good it should start a category all by its own. With the way the Cuban Embargo is going, I hope it would be soon before talented non-Cuban manufacturers would have access to Cuban leaf, particularly the wrappers and I would be able to smoke cigars with this kind of profile more regularly. 3
JohnS Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 MUO MAY 14 CORO. Perfect!!! Looks perfect. By the way, it looks like quite a party there in the background judging by the 7 or 8 cigar bands in the background.
ag794516 Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 2001 Imparieles. Superb construction, nice draw. Fantastic cigar overall. I thought about buying a box. How is the flavor profile? In your opinion, does it need much time to rest?
sengjc Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Por Larranaga Petit Corona from 2007. Having some Taketsuru 12 Year Old with this. Such a nice warm night for winding down a little, even my mate's dog that I am dog-sitting agrees. 3
rmill3r Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 And now for my first regional release. Saint Luis Rey Asia Pacificos from JUL 09...talk about heavenly. SLR has just been blowing me away lately. 4
erjaq Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 I'm not a big Punch guy but this one was pretty good
Popular Post Tino Posted February 15, 2015 Popular Post Posted February 15, 2015 Cohiba Siglo V from 2001, the cigar enforcer wouldn't like this one 7
alpyigit Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 I thought about buying a box. How is the flavor profile? In your opinion, does it need much time to rest? It's a 2001 box, so I smoked as soon as I received. This will be a day time cigar with sparkling water or green tea. I would avoid stronger drinks that would overpower its medium body and floral taste..
alpyigit Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Enjoyed Feb 01 SLR Churchill today. Two hours of pleasure and a nice break from my recent, darker wrapped regular rotation. Probably will be once a month, lazy afternoon type of cigar for me.. 3
Troels Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Another jl 2 - might blow through this box as fast as I did with my last
