An RE Friday with @Nate Chu C&C for a Saturday morning with this Sir Winston from 03. Today is going to be great if this cigar is anything to judge it by. What a super smooth star

First cigar of the year.

C&C ‘14 especiales. Fantastic start to the day C&C with a Monte 4 C&C time today with a Perla picked up from 24:24

BHK54 with some Buffalo Trace Bourbon.

A great combo....I call it the Buffheke

It won't be long until Gurkha dips some leaves into some Bourbon and trademarks the name and releases it. ;)

It's my first foray into Bourbon. Tried some Blantons at Art's place. Bought some BT. Hated it, cursed his name and now I've come around.. It's really grown on me now.

SLR A RET MAY 12. These are getting good now. I really like the A.

Siglo VI. LBT MAR 10. Great they needed time. This is so much better to me than BHK at least for me nice and rich. Complex.

Oliva V Double Robusto from 2010. Nicaraguan tobacco just does not age at all. Wonderful notes of newspaper, decomposing trash, cardboard, and dirt, followed by a whispering aftertaste of bitter leather and plastics. Done after half inch.

Moving onto La Aurora Cameroon Robusto.

I'm crying inside.

Why are you doing this to yourself Marc? Nothing is worth the torture!!

cks/Tech second half.

i'm just guessing he's somewhere in America and lost...

Maybe, you have to take a step back to recognize the fakes, floating around...

And maybe, you have to clear your palate to appreciate great Cuban cigars? Or, maybe - when in doubt - consult the taste buds, instead of gimmicks? Like pretty packaging and hype? Just to name a few... MK05 would have to make it clear, if he cares

Just a thought

After a brilliant Magnum 46 yesterday I decided to go with its bigger brother H.Upmann Magnum 50.

post-17463-0-47124300-1410083016_thumb.j

Really young box (BUM ENE 14) but absolutely approachable. Clearly young tobacco taste but not bitter/harsh notes. Not at all.

I did like it down to the nub but to be honest I prefer the 46 a lot more. In size in blend and in every way.

It has huge potential to age well (nothing to smooth out, more like blend together and get sweeter) but like I said decent already.
