Tatuaje Black corona gorda from the recent plastic jar release. Thank Jah it was only purchased as a single.

Absolute garbage! A few interesting butter and citrus notes here and there, but I probably wouldn't even buy these at $4 a piece. Just a vague Nicaraguan aroma with a shitty immature flavor. Had them resting for weeks, too, and dryboxed for 1.5 days - they seemed acclimated. Tried to smoke it slow, and it was still done in an hour.

Oliva V Double Robusto from 2010. Nicaraguan tobacco just does not age at all. Wonderful notes of newspaper, decomposing trash, cardboard, and dirt, followed by a whispering aftertaste of bitter leather and plastics. Done after half inch.

Moving onto La Aurora Cameroon Robusto.

I'm crying inside.

I've had the exact same same experience with Tatuaje Black Labels. I just don't understand why everyone obsesses over them. I have liked the Tat Havana VIs though...they really do have a nice creamy, nutty profile (in my opinion) that reminds me of the Hemingways or some CCs that I've tried, and I've liked the couple Faustos that I've had too just for their sheer power and spice (although it is a bit overpowering). All in all, though, don't quite understand the love for Tatuaje...

Another excellent dinner, finished up by a Upmann Mag50 and a couple of glasses of Les Hautes de Granget Grand Cru (very nice compliment to cigars I might add).

Stop smoking all my cigars! You were supposed to keep them safe for me. angry.png

smoking an eye round today outside. After the two cigars, I tried an Sumatra Ambos Mundos. Horrid smoke. Imean, just absolutely horrendous. Then I tolerated a La Riqueza.

I think I don't want to smoke cigars anymore.

Like the coffee cups, the only beans I've used for years are the Segafredo extra strong.

Fired up a Partagas 898 this afternoon from a box I purchased earlier this year from El Pres. My only question is, do these things get better with age??? If they do, they will be unbelievable because this one was FANTASTIC!!!
