Smoked a fairly fresh Monte Especial yesterday. Lit at 3:30, extinguished at 6:00 - new record for a Laguito #1!

While that was a very good smoke, the SOE JUL11 Cohiba Robusto I had this afternoon was absolutely stellar - rich, very full-bodied, just glorious.

My birthday smoke from the other night! This was my first HURR. Paired it with my absolute favorite whisky, Laphroaig 2013 Cairdeas Port Wood Edition.

Got these in the mail the other day and couldn't wait to try one. Have to admit, the wrappers look a bit rough and I picked the worst looking one with a split foot to smoke first. If this was the worst one, I'm in for a helluva ride with this box! Rich dense smoke, woody, spicy, coffee flavors. Smoked it until I almost couldn't hold without burning my fingers. OUTSTANDING!!!

Starting the day off with a Bolivar PC. Medium body, nice smoke, a little earthy, coffee, and hints of cocoa. No hints of floralness like the first one from this box. Very enjoyable.
