Smalls Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Just got a box of Siglo II from our host the other day...if they are even half as good as the IV, I'll be a happy camper! I recently got a box of Siglo II's as well. However, with the 2014 on the box I am afraid I will just be staring at them for awhile in the humidor. On another note, I just enjoyed a 898 Varnished from 2012 that was really nice. 1

Habana Mike Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 2011 Siglo VI Starts with hints of granny purse and crushed ants. Oh wait, the ants are the ones I'm crushing on my deck..... Definitely a floral perfumy note at the onset along with fresh hay and hazelnuts. Excellent construction, excellent draw. Perfect triple cap Smooth and creamy on the palate Light gray flaky ash Lost the floral notes mid-point and turned pure creme brulee Outstanding finish! 3
nem Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Smoked a 2006 Trinidad Fundadores tonight, not bad, but Cohiba Lanceros of comparable age are definitely a tad tastier.
Optic101 Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Two fresh one today. Started the morning with an excellent Siglo 2, FEB 14 and now a ENE 14 Monte PE with a promissing start.
Optic101 Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Very fresh, already nice and the potential is there. See you again in a year ... 2
subport Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 RASS (MUR OCT 13) after lunch today. Brilliant flavours but hard time to keep it burning > loads of oils everywhere

Maplepie Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Smoked a 2006 Trinidad Fundadores tonight, not bad, but Cohiba Lanceros of comparable age are definitely a tad tastier. i just got in an extra 7 to pair with the rest of my 5 Fundies from 06. not sure how they're smoking now. you say there's more potential? wish i could tell, but apparently they 98s-04s are radically different to the 05+s
