An RE Friday with @Nate Chu C&C for a Saturday morning with this Sir Winston from 03. Today is going to be great if this cigar is anything to judge it by. What a super smooth star

First cigar of the year.

C&C ‘14 especiales. Fantastic start to the day C&C with a Monte 4 C&C time today with a Perla picked up from 24:24

Conde 54 while watching US Open and World Cup

I had one of these the other day and it was top three ever for me.

I'm sorry, but no. Even the cold draw was bad.

Too green/harsh, too salty. Tasted like licking your hands after playing in the dry sand box. Maybe toss in some Buckley's cough syrup and calcium supplements into the flavours.

Punched it but could still feel pieces of sandy tobacco crunching in my mouth.

If it wasn't gifted a while back, no way would I had smoked it down this far!

Should've pitched it when it was this much left:

Will probably buy a tin for ageing, though... see how they do in 2-3 years. Not much for a 16 tin, anyways.

...a slightly under filled ERDM Swiss regional release.

Bloody hell!

I've had a productive day at the office, so have knocked off a couple of hours early to enjoy the closest thing to fine weather that we get with any regularity... A good book, a pint, and an H.Upmann Coronas Junior which I found in the cupboard... Haven't had one of these for years, is just hitting the spot though.

I cracked today at a local B&M and bought a DC.

This has been the most enjoyable non-CC I can remember having, and as far as I know, it's nothing special. I'll admit it had me pretty intrigued.

sorry to hear that Paul...

how'd it end up smoking??

Sent from my Q10 using Tapatalk

It was my first ERDM and I was blown away by the aroma at cold and the taste of honey on the palate on cold draw.

It was an absolute wind tunnel from the start which I feel dissipated the flavour and it never settled.

It could have been excellent...but imploded like it was filled with anti-matter :)

Underfilled "wind tunnel" of a Mag 50.

Still leagues above the RyJ Duke in the corner. Gave up on that one.

If you changed the wrapper and removed the bands, I would've told you it was a Nicaraguan...

42/100 stick.

Too funny mate :)

That ERDM was actually my backup stick to my first stick ...2009 Punch Double Corona which was hopelessly plugged, AS was the one I gave to my buddy.

Finally I got one to go...here it is...

"Resting on the bones of the dead" ;)

Awwwww. that's just a sad sight to see! :(

normally with plugged ones, feel for the plug and cut it off. hope to scavenge 5 or 6 inches off a DC.

If it's too short, Barbie Skewers work. OR grind it up to smoke in a pipe.. those have been beautiful for me, actually.

hey, it's still Cuban tobacco, no? :)

I actually did cut it above the plug and it was smoking fine...but you know what?

To me, life and the enjoyment of a fine stick is simply too precious an opportunity to forego...

Problematic sticks are left to die gracefully and I move onto something that smokes perfectly and gives me the experience I smoke for...

It's only money :)
