H. Upmann #2 May 10 after lunch. These are great. Half way through the box and these have been very consistant. Loaded with coffee and cocoa, leather with a hint of pepper and a touch of spice. Nice and dark with excellent constuction and burn. A touch more spice, and they would be perfect.

A very, very good '08 CoRo. Haven't had too many good ones, so haven't understood the hype. Hopefully this box will get even better!

I really enjoyed a MAY06 Trini Fundadore this afternoon. Dense, rich flavors with a nice, sweet finish. This cigar started off beautifully, and it only got better. The final third was like a dessert, with vanilla, nougat and a burnt sugar caramel sweetness. Perfectly balanced in flavor, and it drew and burned like a champ. This was the first I've had from this box in a couple of years, and I was really impressed. It was better than any 2001 Lancero that I can recall. A great, great cigar, with lots more in store over the next few years. I continue to be delighted with almost all of my 2006 stock, which IMO is the best vintage in the 21st Century!

Easily the best cigar I've had so far this year. Fabulous. A 96 on my scoreboard.

PLPC AUG 08

Very few cigars in my humi that I enjoy more than these. I need to look into a replacement cab pronto. Took a break to go outside, salt and break up some residual ice around the house, and take in some vitamin D. Definitely the first hint of spring today. It actually felt cooler when I finished and came inside.

Tight draw due to a firm spot at the head, a few squeezes and rolls and it was perfect. Med to full woody open, the middle was dense, savory and meaty, and the last third was a delicious smoked tea. A perfect mid-morning break. Ahhhh, sun and a cigar :)

Jose L. Piedra Crema NOV05.

Shortly: Nutty soil. Toasted tobacco. Nuts and light cream. Light pepper. Smoked tobacco. Cream with ginger and cinnamon. Very nice mellow flavours overall.

These ugly sticks were harsh when I bought them, but one year ago they were very good. Now they are pure gold! I am lucky to have still seven of the same bundle, no one knows how they will still develop. Maybe they are going to be diamonds some day.

This is truly underestimated cigar - is it because of the very low price or is it the appearance? What does it matter, I will buy more of them!

:) (I'm smiling wider than the guy on the left)

Enjoyed a Siglo IV the other night.....lovely smoke and typcical Cohiba flavors. These are full bodied smokes. I don't recall ever having a bad one. These can go the distance, but my fahter and I never give them the opportunity to. ;)

Just spent the morning playing cigar box tetris, and re-arranging my humidor cabinet and cooler-dor. Mmmmmmmm! Oh, the smells are wonderful, when I've had a couple of weeks away from my babies!!!!

Weather is supposed to warm up, all this week into next weekend, supposed to hit +7 and 8 C on certain days....I think I'm going to have a couple of evenings spent with some back-to-back stogies in the garage. Yay!!!!

Today was a 1998's day.

Sancho Panza Bachilleres in the afternoon.

- Light to medium flavoured. Nice smoke, but nothing special.

Partagas Coronas in the evening.

- Medium flavoured. I just happen to like these very very much! And what an aftertaste! YES!
