vinnyvega Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 I had a Nicaraguan cigar that was pretty good. It was a Las Calaveras Robo by My Father for Crowned Heads. A H Upmann Super Corona from 2001, and a Cohiba Corona Especiale from 2012 that was plugged. I bought a 5 pack of these and every single one was plugged. I think it was a BTO Jun 12 box. Absolutely terrible.

Popular Post Bartolomeo Posted May 28, 2014 Popular Post Posted May 28, 2014 Dry boxed it for 2 days, wrapper today looks like a raisin bc of the rain we had here in Raleigh this evening....a big fan of these in last 6 months but kept my expectations low to not set myself up disappointment for the review...initial puffs once fired up was graham cracker, sweet wood and youth....back of throat was some minor hints of black licorice and saltine cracker in beginning of 1/3....like many have said before me, I associate these more with a Sir Winston than any other Upmann I can think of, I find myself a big Upmann fan other than the Mag 46/50 series which I have never had good luck with overall....2/3 is very youthful tasting, medium amounts of nicotine surface, pleasant sweet nodes carried over from 1/3....typically the last third for me of any young cigar is one dimensional, pure tobacco and often harsh but this cigar was still evolving very nicely on the finish w some orange peel at the last 25%, very enjoyable.....this was not my favorite Conn A I have smoked but it was a very pleasant 113 mins today and I think very highly of these now and hopefully in the future....I have smoked out of 3-4 codes of these Upmann A for reference BTW Pros: approachability now, flavor, size Cons: price Bart 5
investandprosper Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 After work, from my chair in the garage, a beautiful '13 Coronas Junior. It's a little flavor bomb of cream, spice, and earthiness. God bless Smithy for turning me on to these a few years ago.
tippexx Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Apart from going tarry-tailed towards the end ... a damn fine Punch Superfinos Italian RE. 1
Weeklystogie Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 After passing up the two shops in Dublin finally made it to the lcdh in Rome. Picked up a handful of ordinary sticks and treated myself to a rascc in the apartment alley with a large moretti birra Roughing it! Hope everyone had a great weekend. LeafLover Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Made it to Casa Fuente in Vegas...finally. Sadly the only thing I wanted when I got there was a mojito. And that's the only thing I bought .
