docbp87 Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Until I get some stuff from Czar (hopefully soonish, working some things out right now!), I basically have nothing from Cuba that is ready to smoke... so I smoked a Tatuaje Petite Cazadores Reserva (4x40, broadleaf maduro wrapper), which was PERFECT since it is really cold out. Good smoke. Cabs of 50. Good price too.

Allthough I Did get the chance to have an H. Upmann Mag 46 on my birthday over the weekend.
ChanceSchmerr Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 A very average Party P2 this afternoon......apparently quite strong smelling - my co-worker left early from work because the after-smell set off his asthma! Gonna lay off smoking these at work in future...
Wicky Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 - my co-worker left early from work because the after-smell set off his asthma! really.
ChanceSchmerr Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Yeah..... I smoked it outside, nowhere near him. To each their own!
samb Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 NC custom habano wrapper corona from my local b&m. Definitely one of the better NCs Ive smoked, but still not cuban.
brutusthebuckeye Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Upmann Connie 1...Jun 08....Nice!!!!!
buster Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Thursday, Punch PC del Punch, EMA FEB 08 Today (Friday) Dip 4 OPM ENE 09 I don't usually smoke outside below 40 degrees F, but I hadn't had a stick in 3 weeks. Smoked while walking a dog we were dog sitting. Couldn't taste the Punch, just too cold and windy. It was colder today, but zero wind, and the Dip 4 was delicious: opened with an almost orange/citrus spice, then smooth coffee throughout. I don't know who should be hung first: HSA for discontinuing these, or all the folks who did not buy them. Rick
BatFastard Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 VR Familiar - BTL JUL 07 - Mild to Med, very grassy to start but turned into some nice flavours of cocoa and leather towards the halfway point and on to the end.
dB69 Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Had a Partagas Lusitania today - a very tasty one. Mild pepper, peanuts, tobacco, coffee, cocoa and hints of toffee.
Ellery Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Had a 09 Trini robusto last night. Great flavors, definately mellowed down from last yr
Stalebread Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 My first Juan Lopez #1. Creamy. Smooth. Very nice.
BatFastard Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Enjoying a HdM du Prince from NPO OCT 04. Bought a fiver a while ago and haven't partaken until tonight. Excellent draw and a razor sharp burn. It started with a toasted nutty flavour and is ending with a grassy tobacco. Quite enjoyable for a budget cigar.
JoshMP Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Ramon Allones Gordito del Allones Canadian RE I was never a fan of RA but, since smoking the grande, they're really growing on me.
Kangaroo495 Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Partagas Toppers supplied by Bolivr. Nice for a Monday smoke! Easy and tasty.
bassman Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 02 VR Famosos. Very strong & lots of cocoa flavor. Might be the best box of these I ever had.
samb Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Custom blend from my b&m. Maduro wrapper, DR tobacco, not too bad.
Wil Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Got home late tonight and wanted something quick and ditch-worthy if I got tired. Rummaged around the humi and found a Monte Open jnr someone gave me. Construction was great and the opening was ok. Ditched not long after. Pretty much tasteless.
Wicky Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 the montecristo especial #1. pretty close to perfect
El Presidente Posted January 20, 2011 Author Posted January 20, 2011 the montecristo especial #1.pretty close to perfect Spot on
Wil Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 I purchased a few Monte Opens last summer as an impulse buy when I was up on the Indian reserve. The price seemed right for a Monte. I don't remember ever being so disappointed in a cigar as I was with the couple I bought. I found them to be totally tasteless as well. Underpacked and very light for their size. Construction on mine was pretty good. Draw was firm, but good. Just terribly bland.
