'07 Monte 2 at the Cantina - very enjoyable. Smooth, med/full, perfect burn, followed by an '08 Epi1 at the lounge - flavorful, medium and relaxing.

GO RAIDERS!!!

Sitting back outside enjoying a Romeo Julietta Short Churchill. It's been around 12-14 months since I last enjoyed one of these, and tonight it's an 08 stick.

This stick is amazing, it's burning quite evenly giving me mouthfuls of toasty, creamy clean hay, touch of spice, coffee and raisins. The wrapper is smooth, medium dark colored no veins.

I'm very pleased I took this stick from the hum as it's a different flavor profile from the norm which makes this so much more enjoyable!

Earlier today, a Trinidad Reyes from a recent HQ Czar box. Should have let it rest off the truck a bit more (only laid it down 22 days, and it seems to need a bit more). A Nov. 2008 "OUR" box. Beautiful pre-light of honey and fresh tea. Great draw and burn. While not being overpowering, I was surprised a bit by how bold the flavours were - I'm used to the lightness and finesse of the flavours from the Robusto T's and such. This one is a quick bang for your time - loaded with flavours of herbs, tea, cream, some creme brulee almost. Lots of dense smoke. However, a bit of a harsh/tangy aftertaste on the finish - just a bit more time on these should be wonderful. An easy 89 though, with lots of promise for the future. Another great box.

Looks magnificent Steve!

For me a Punch Petit Punch which disappointed again. I have about 10 left in the box and have found them all to be harsh and bitter despite the 2 years spent in the humi. They are recidivist delinquents I am afraid

The other smoke was a Partagas Toppers, elegant, sweet and delicious; reminded me of why I enjoy CCs.

What's the box code of those Punches? I'm working my way through some great OCT07 Petit Punches.

Wound up with an 08 Edmundo Dante (the 07 box was buried). Fantastic- like 2 cigars in one. First 1/3 was refined & elegant. Then it quickly became very strong & meaty. Almost had me drolling it was so good. Later in the day a MEL SEP 08 Cohiba CE. Another powerful smoke. MEL 08 Cohibas have yet to disappoint.
