Hiroshiro Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Celebrating a Steelers victory with yellow and black! Cohiba Coronas Especials This will help me forget the piss-poor performance of the Calgary Stampeders in the Western final as well. Wanted a box of these. how's that Williams single barrel?
Rye Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Wanted a box of these. how's that Williams single barrel? It is pairing fantastic with both the Bolivar last Friday, and this Cohiba. I will try the last of this bottle with an Allones, and likely grab a few more bottles. I am really liking it.
Hiroshiro Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Nice. If you have a chance pick up a Diplomatico Rum to pair with the RA or Bolivar. Simply phenomenal
Optic101 Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Nice. If you have a chance pick up a Diplomatico Rum to pair with the RA or Bolivar. Simply phenomenal You got me with the Diplomatico. Which one do you suggest to get.
Hiroshiro Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva It a bit hard to find here but when you do find it: Neat/On the Rocks/Coke/Ginger Ale = Amazing It paired okay with the D4 and Probably would have been better with the Lusi but a Bolivar or RA profile fits best with the Diplomatico Rum. Its smoky and sweet at the same time with a slight vanilla cream aroma. Its complex and smooth. Really great Rum
MarkofStark Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Had my first Cohiba on friday. It wasn't bad but nothing super impressive I felt, very mild though enjoyable. Maybe I just expected more given the price tag I see on them.
MattW Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Had a Ramon Allones Petit Belicoso at the weekend, the UK release from 2012. Was ok, but I just don't think I get on with the Ramon Allones profile, it's a little too heavy and strong for my tastes!
Lotusguy Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 MDO #3 - fantastic! BD2002 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
LeafLover Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 I'm on the same habanos wavelength as Lotusguy. LGC#1 03. To celebrate a recent achievement. The cigar did not dissapoint. Sooo good.
headstand Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Fresh Monte Edmundo: good but a bit too fresh. Will bury this box deep in the bin. Follow up with a Cohiba Esplendido from 2008 . Stellar. Photographed with Rex, the newly adopted/rescued dog. Came with an Euro passport - go figure!
Larsy Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Diplomaticos petit robusto (Spain RE) Awesome
Rye Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 While sorting out packs for my friends, I couldn't help but light a couple. Started with a robusto, and was supremely impressed given it's roll date was last week, and then this lonsdale which had impeccable flavors and construction, but could use some time to settle. I guess a week and a half just isn't quite enough resting time for some. ;-D
bassman Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Rarely post on this thread but today's GOP MAY 08 Lusi continues to be, since I got them, the best post 95 Lusi I've ever had.
headstand Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 SLR Regios. Nice, but challenged by the chilling wind as a cold front is racing into the valley.
bassman Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Another noteworthy cigar this morning- 06 SLR Corona. These were pretty much devoid of flavor until last year when the magical transformation began. Delicious cigar. MUCH better than my 06 DCs or Serie A.
thebigk Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 PLPC should have smoked it on Sunday full of holes (tunneling)
Bartolomeo Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Partagas piramid from the 09 jar....this is superb! Bart
