kevinfj Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 On a beautiful day in New England..........one of my favorites. In 90 days it will be about 32 F. Can't wait.
canadianbeaver Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 A pair from a couple LFTW ago Fantastic!
LLC Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 We'll better late than never. Chris (chanceshmere) was kind enough to trade a RA 898 with me and the plan was it have it on my birthday earlier this month. I ended up going to Vegas for my birthday and didn't want to take it so I planned to have it when i got home. Ended up coming home with a cold so wanted to wait to be sure I could really get the most out of it. Well today was the day and I paired it with a 42 year old 1965 Girvan, Celtic Heartlands scotch. The scotch I've had before and knew I'd enjoy but this was my first RA 898 and what a treat it ended up being. Totally enjoyed the cigar from start to finish. Thanks Chris, it was awesome.
pjansen Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 ABR 13 RASS with some Zaya 12. Great combo.
Ophidion Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 What an incredible smoke today... Now these are box worthy. Just wish they weren't so pricey per stick 100% agree. Even at 17/ea I'd buy them. Wish they were in a 10 box Excellent mag 46 (I lost the second band at some point). Believe it was from an 09 cab. 08 and 09 mag 46 just kill it with flavor every time. ESPECIALLY the tubos
Blakes Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Partagas D4 from '12. I actually enjoyed this one, the box I have has been so hit a miss.
brutusthebuckeye Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Cohiba Sig VI...ema jun 08...while watching my Brownies beat the Bungels....I nubbed it. 94/100 ....only one left tho!!
Ssmith114 Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 2012 PL Montecarlo.. One of my favorites!
Philprop Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Had a weekend at the cabin with the inlaws, smoked a monte 2 GR Friday night, then Saturday night by the fire enjoyed a RA Superiores and a PSD4. Was a great weekend!
Bartolomeo Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 11 RA Super Ramon RE....tasty but still young, nothing really stood out flavor wise but was enjoyable just not ready yet IMHO Bart
Bartolomeo Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 11 Punch Medalla d'Oro RE courtesy of Riverwild in a trade earlier this Summer...my first one of these, pretty cigar presentation and i love the royal robusto size....smoking the cigar it had a metallic taste of the aluminum the whole time unfortunately.....this is weird because the Punch Platinos and Diademas never had that smell even though they both have the foil as part of the decor....just an aftertaste of metallic is all I experienced unfortunately....glad I was able to try one at least and would like to sample a second one to see how that fairs Bart
canadianbeaver Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 We actually ended up putting these back and smoked a pair of HQ QDO PC's instead. They were divine. Thanks Garfield lonsdaleto for this Scotch as always!
fokker4me Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Enjoying a LFD Limatado III that had been resting in the humidor from 2010 paired with a Vintage 1963 Croft Port.
Rye Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 A great evening burning dinosaurs and old leaves. My 3rd great cigar today.
finecigar Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 100% agree. Even at 17/ea I'd buy them. Wish they were in a 10 box Ya a 10ct would be perfect. Guess I'm just not ready to spend $400 on box of 20. And they will only go up in price
ramon_cojones Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 had a fine rg perla with some armenian coffee
KWG116 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Bolivar PC TEB 08 cab These have woken up after a two year nap. They were unsmokable. These cigars actually turned me off to bolivar. Have not purchased or smoked a bolivar in a long time. They are back and better than before. Rich clean bolivar flavors. So good I am purchasing a dress box today. Guess it's time to revisit my teb jr's. Also have an 09 cab that I'm looking forward to trying now.
Mr.T Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 A very nice 2005 Fundadore with some Balvenie Doublewood.....
