Rye Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 A nice warm evening to enjoy a Punch Black Prince, paired with a club soda with lime and ice.
CaptainQuintero Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 It does! For me the revelation was the smoked grappa, the marc/pomace is smoked with peat pre-distillation like a peated scotch and then the grappa is aged in indigenous woods: http://www.enoglam.com/scheda%20tecnica%20evofumo-eng.asp Great with a cigar Fancy! I still can't help thinking of doing a Telly Salavas impression every time I pull out a bottle, too many war films growing up lol
maverickdrinker Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 07 RASSC. love these with some age on them...
CaptainQuintero Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 La Fuerza, sublime, quite literally. No idea what it was so grabbed my ring guage andlength measuring thingymabob, turned out to be 140 x 54 so guessing it was the Fuerza, perfect draw and not underfilled so many someone was playing silly buggers with the moulds that day 88/100 needed a few more years still.
CaptainQuintero Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 1998 Troya Universales Exact same blend as the modern Coronas Club; stewed plum and apples, deep port flavours, very dense flavours. I'd love to see a modern hand made Troya

sengjc Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Montecristo No. 2 from 2011. It has been a while since my last Montecristo No. 2. The aroma reminds me of all the good things about Cuban cigars. Exquisite despite the relative youth and ill behaved burn.
Rye Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 After helping build a deck for a new smoking gazebo, we were treated to fantastic Santos Lanceros. These age well! After those, treated to dessert, including cracking a new box of Maestro's
Tino Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Took a tumble on my bike yesterday and a bit battered and bruised today, so had my morning medicine of coffee and a Bolivar Especiales No.2 RE Germany from '09

jimb2u Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Looks like you were at Merchants, no? No...I was at Prime Cigar in Boca Raton Florida. I am spending a long weekend at home and usually work out of there when I do. It's my favorite south Florida cigar lounge. I have been to merchants several times but usually spend my evenings during the week (when I am working up in NYC) at the Wall Street Humidor downtown.
