Smoking SO well now! Time for me to make them disappear! post-13208-13761829727032.jpg

Enjoying one of these right now on my deck. Brought out one of my FOH boxes from the basement tupperdor. Perfect fill and draw. Spicy, cocoa flavors. Just a wonderful cigar after a big dinner and cocktails. Goes well with a Remy XO.

I can't keep out of this box! Nearly halfway through, and every cigar has been on point. Paired this with my brunch coffee and the interweb. post-13208-13762441220171.jpg

Very fresh (BD Jan 2013) HdM Epicure Especial. A bit rough around the edges but already showing great potential.

The book is very highly recommended as well, BTW.

Montecristo #2 (HQ) - MOS FEB 10 (paired w/ Flor de Cana 18 yr)

A couple spare moments to myself without the family to enjoy this luscious smoke. My second of this box of 10 that I purchased a couple of years ago. It's a beautiful looking stick. 1/3 - cream and coffee, hazelnuts. Medium bodied. I'm glad I'll have no interruptions with this one. A generous volume of smoke here also. 2/3 - still the creaminess, followed by dried fruits now? raisins or apricots. Medium to full. Burn is good, 1 minor touch up required up until now. 3/3 - intensity has picked up, still med to full body, very earthy now, toasted tobacco is predominant.

Overall a very satisfying hour and fifteen smoke. I really like the pyramid size. Looking forward to the third of the blind tasting cigars now.

It's my friend's birthday next week so we took a drive to Belgium and Luxembourg for some alcohol.

On the way we stopped at an old Belgian castle (Alden Biesen) where my friend and I went on a high school trip. Here I smoked my first cigar (a terrible NC) while taking a group picture with my classmates, I remember HATING the cigar and it wouldn't touch another cigar for at least 3 years.

Eight years later we stopped at the castle and I was finally able to enjoy a cigar at the same spot. The cigar was a Rafael Gonzalez PE this time.

Afterwards we went to a brewery for lunch and to stock up on some of the best weißbier I've tasted.

Afterwards I enjoyed a PL Montecarlo.

We filled up on boxes of champagne in Luxembourg, bought some baguette and cold cuts and ate them on a hill where I paired it with a nice D4.
