Habanakane21
Lighting up a HDM Epi 2 after a early lunch. Then I'm jumping on a plane to Las Vegas for a weekend of madness!!
samb
Diplo 5 and tea. Honestly, did not enjoy it... I normally really enjoy these smokes. Could it be my mood? Idk, I guess after fighting with the wife (and of course neither winning nor compromising) could make even the best cigar seem a bit blah.
bigfunkyg
Smoked my first Montecristo Edmundo today during a round of golf (shot a 77 and finished bogey - bogey ). I was plesantly suprised although a golf course generally isn't the best place to thouroughly enjoy a cigar. Will definately try another.
CanuckSARTech
Yesterday, mid afternoon - Diplomaticos No. 2, June 2008 "EMA" box. Not bad, quite good actually, considering how these aren't the most complex. Hints of honey, buttered toast, wood - 89. Then, yesterday evening after supper - Cuaba Piramides LE 2008, September 2008 "USE" box. Eeeehhhh. Not the greatest of these I've had - excellent flavour profiles (dark cocoa, spices, black currants/black cherries, etc.), but the draw, burn, and smoke were all wonky. Tight to draw on, burn was all over the place, kept on needing relights. Disappointing, considering the personal expectation for it - lots of plume. An 86. mbrody
A rich and flavorfull Dip 2. This box has some really dark wrappers. Based upon this sample alone, for me it trumps the Monte 2 and the VR unicos.

groza
Partagas P2 Tubo, a single from the Czar. After a week of mild (or should I say flavourless?) NCs, this stick really reminded me of why I enjoy CCs.

CanuckSARTech
Will soon be smoking two aged R&J Churchills later on this week - went through my humidor the other night, and realized that I was given a fake (!!!) from a friend who went on a trip to Cuba. After discussing, found out that it was not bought at an authorized location. The ring gauge and smell is off, as well as length, even though the double-bands/labels are good. Will be smoking the fake, and then comparing it up against a known authentic, and will post a full review in the reviews section. For now, a Partagas SPN2 this afternoon. Beautiful. thechenman
Slow on the Cuban front this weekend. Enjoyed quite a few NCs, but the lone CC in my line up was a Partagas Serie D No. 4 (MAS DIC 08). Sadly it had a very tight draw...even after a good deal of massaging. Oh well...
CanuckSARTech
You are a braver man than I. Have you seen some of the stuff they have found in fake Havanas. Not pretty. LOL. My balls may not be of the same ilk of those shown on your avatar's bovine, but they are pretty firm and resolute nonetheless. Oh, I'd more than check it out. I don't think it's a "fake Havana" per say - I just think its a lower price point Cuban cigar, a "fake" R&J Churchill. It's still Cuban (the characteristics are there, and that's where this friend got it from), but it just isn't a R&J Churchill. It seems like a Lancero or something from a lesser marca, that someone got their hands on, and simply rebanded as a Churchill to try and make an upsale. I'm 80% sure of that right now. And, looking at the foot, and absorbing and smelling the characteristics, I don't think there's any banana leaf in there. I'll let you know once I review it later on this week. Mr.T
Enjoyed a lovely RA Belicoso RE/UK last night. A very nice smooth smoke. Started off medium bodied and ended on the full side. Started off with toasty notes and then progressed to some peppery/spicey notes, with a touch of sweetness, possibly friutiy towards the end....enjoyed it with some nice ED 15yr rum....
