FOH'ers Daily Smoke

Recommended Posts

Considering that the bench upon which I am seated was yesterday underwater, I would have to say that this mighty river Bow is done throwing its epic temper tantrum. As I sit smoking this JLS1 I can't help but notice the lack of seasonal wild flowers and fauna that I am used to while at this perch. Never in recorded history has this river gotten that mad. I am grateful that all of my friends, family, and acquaintances are safe and unscathed. post-13208-13721115897118.jpg

An RE Friday with @Nate Chu C&C for a Saturday morning with this Sir Winston from 03. Today is going to be great if this cigar is anything to judge it by. What a super smooth star

First cigar of the year.

C&C ‘14 especiales. Fantastic start to the day C&C with a Monte 4 C&C time today with a Perla picked up from 24:24

Last but not least, a Cohiba Robusto from an Agt. 2008 "EST" cab I've thoroughly been enjoying. Enjoying this after a nice supper at "Tom's Little Havana Cafe", and now out for a walk on the Halifax waterfront. Even though I butchered the head on the cut, age has done this cigar very well.

Monte 520 - AME Nov 12

Not impressed with the 2 I've smoked from this box. Won't likely look at this box again for at least a year, maybe 2 years.

At the beach a NC RyJ Romeo. Pitched it before the last third.

Later a really great Monte Especial #2 BD1999. Much more flavorful than the first one from that box.

Finally smoked my first Monty Grand Edmundo last night, have had a box for 3 years and never touched it. I enjoyed it yesterday while watching the final 3 episodes of Mad Men.

What a glorious cigar! By the first puff I was rolling my eyes in disbelief, extremely creamy and smooth with smoke I wanted to chew and ingest. Whether it was the 'young' age or high expectations, but the final 3rd wasn't as impressive as the previous two, it didn't, however, fail to be one of the best cigars I've had this year.

Inspired by the CoRo thread, I started out last night with an outstanding example from 2008 that was firing on all cylinders.

Then I tried to smoke the pictured RyJ Cazzie BD 2010 but the damn thing wouldn't stay lit so I pitched in disgust about halfway through.

Closed out the night with a really nice Quintero Nacionales BD2003.

Tonight is a Siglo VI from the 2010 Jar with a dram of Balvenie Carribean Cask 14 yo. Something to enjoy the show with.

Last couple of days:

2001 Punch SS#2....semi-tight draw but flavor was good, not sure worth the price they command during this time period but enjoyable

1998 Dip #3...nubbed it, superb, what an aged Habano should taste like, aged Dips never disappoint

2007 PL Beli RE.....light, sweet but think the Robusto RE is a little more rounded in flavor than the Beli

POS MAR 07 Siglo 6.....unfortunately flat and a dud, I was expecting so much more from this cigar but appreciative that I got to try it, pitched after the 2/3

2012 Upmann HC....you are Un-American if you dont like this cigar, great flavor in such a short package and price point, love these, most consistent cigar in past 6 months for me

1998 Boli CE.....plugged and pitched, refrigerator trick didnt help this time

2004 Part Corona....bliss, these always are a treat

2006 Monte #1...very, very light in profile, construction is flawless but nothing there in flavor, light cocoa but not really, very muted flavor, boring really, disappointing
