For your NCs in Utah question, John just posted the best NC I've had that wasn't a Nudie. It's not like a CC, it's just damn good.

Appreciate it - Added to my list.

Salomon. A prize from an FOH review comp. Must be at least 6 years old by now. Prizes always taste good 😉

Beast of a cigar! Hard to put into perspective until you see it in someone's hand. Congrats on the win.

How was it?

Thanks! It started out light-bodied, with light woodiness and cookie dough. Good draw, tons of smoke. As usual with big perfectos, the burn line needed to be coaxed until after passing the bulb. Once it settled down, the strength and body starts creeping up, but very slowly. In the middle third, the cookie dough is now baked - I am getting a little of the caramelised edges of the cookie. And then it just stays the same until the end. All in all, pleasant, if nothing spectacular - I am fine with a cigar not showing much complexity or evolution if it just stays "nice", and this one did.

P.S. I got none of the fabled peanuts, but maybe that's just my peculiar palate.

Classic palm beach!

Where you see $500k Rolls Royces in the tiny driveways of tiny houses that look like they are worth $200k, but are really worth $10M.
