I'll do my best. Others here may know more. But this is my understanding.

Around 2017 a batch of E2's started coming out of El Laguito. Box code AMO MAY 17(and other months possibly).  No one expected them to be rolled there.  Some collectors started grabbing them quietly as legend has it.  Legend the key word.  That these E2's started out as BHK54's but medio tiempo leaf, the heart of BHK  was scarce due to crop issues.  So the factory was told to use the BHK blend and roll E2 vitola.  I split a box with 2 other guys when FOH had some.  This is my second one ever.  To me they don't taste like a BHK!  But it is/was more meaty than the E2's I was smoking prior.  There are boxes with really dark wrappers initially.  Then the shades got lighter.  Early adopters claim it was the deal of the century. My other 2 friends agree.  Not BHK, but way better E2.  That's the legend.
