First off the cigar is hard as a rock, but it draws like a dream. It just goes to show you how knowledgeable the rollers were back then. My favorite cigar out of the cab in always the one with the ribbon dent in it. There is a delicate sweetness with notes of caramel and honey in the first 3rd. The next 3rd has changed to cocoa flavors, but very rich and thick almost like a malt. Now getting into the last 3rd and I am gettin lots of baking Spice with Molasses and some bitter chocolate. If you a Hoyo have this cigars if what dreams are made of. The cigar leaves your wanting more and you palate salivating! Also smoked a 08' CORO (Tasty) Blah Ok Good Tasty Heavenly 34 1

Popular Post Glass Half Full Posted January 1 Popular Post Posted January 1 I’ve been lucky on the 1st of January for a few years running. When the day starts, I’m never sure what all’s possible. Yet, thankfully, there’s just enough late afternoon lull today (yet again) — after New Year’s organizing (to make our spouses happy and then a wonderful bike ride with my wife; plus my dinner prep’s done (black eyed peas and greens for luck, and a simple piece of fish) — And, by golly, there’s time for a cigar I’ve fallen for Davidoff’s marketing for three years running, though I've enjoyed each of them. Of course, it’s weeks until Chinese new year, for which these are made of course...but today is New Years to me, and “Year of the Snake” it is. And this one?…I think this has potential for true greatness in time, but it tastes good young all the same. Sometimes it’s fun to savor the tastes of great potential, especially on New Year’s Day. (The flavors are all there, as are the transitions. They just need time to meld into “wow.“) Here’s to potentially great things for us all in 2025. 25
