Popular Post dicko Posted November 23, 2024 Popular Post Posted November 23, 2024 D4 today. Jan 2020. Hmm good but boring. Dry hay, sourdough, oak but not vanilla. Very "dry" tasting. Paired with an Appleton 21 which absolutely blew me away. I love the 12. The 15 is good but not my style. The 21 combines the funk and molasses of the 12 with the orange peel of the 15 in perfect balance. Not at all over-oaked which I find with older rums often. Sensational rum. Ken has raved about it for years and I can see why. Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk 22

Popular Post Darco Posted November 24, 2024 Popular Post Posted November 24, 2024 Tried the Aliados from 3 different boxes, the first try was singles I bought from Florence, Italy (Couldn’t buy the box due to shop policy). The 2 osubsequent purchases were boxes from other sources. This stick is from Tuscany. It blew me away, then an now. The subsequent purchases were very good, but not to this level. 95+ Partagas Maesto 2023 (no picture) A superb cigar and I believe it has a huge potential for aging. Very solid stick. 22

Popular Post Connoisseur Kim Posted November 25, 2024 Popular Post Posted November 25, 2024 A quarter box of Romeo y Julieta Exhibición No. 4 ABO JUL 19 PSP/HQ mix while having yesterday's herf with @Edicion at Ash & Bloom. Romeo y Julieta Exhibición No. 4 obviously had dominant cherry, rosewater, sweet chocolate, berry, floral, and anise notes; however I was surprised that it also had creamy cedar, leather, wood, and earth flavours that I usually associate with H. Upmann, Montecristo, and Partagás. It was a pleasant and delightful rosewater ride experience except it had some bitterness in the end unlike Partagás Serie D No. 4 SOR OCT 21 Clearance. Its flavour profile matched well with Frapin Château Fontpinot XO cognac, which was similar to Romeo y Julieta Exhibición No. 4 in terms of fruitiness and subtlety (although I never had any cognacs before, the cognac was surprisingly tasty and mesmerising). Like my first FOH BOTL herf with @Raskol in the past, the second FOH BOTL herf was so great and enjoyable that I wasn't even aware myself of losing track of time (took 3 hours to puff Exhibición No. 4, which was way longer than my usual smoking time for Robustos/Coronas Extras). During the herf, we not only had a great conversation, but also discussed about the cigars that we smoked. Even better, he gave me some cigar gifts to try (Nudies No. 8, My Father Lancero, and mysterious Cuban Mareva Petit Corona), and I absolutely appreciated his generosity. I hope that I'll be able to have herf with him once again, since herfs are always fun and the reason why I really love cigars even more as a lifetime hobby. 26
