I have had that happen to me in Canada/Europe/China when my very comfortable 65/65 cigar hits a 30/30 F (1 C/30 RH) environment. Your situation doesn't reflect that environment however.

Had one last week and it was outstanding as usually. Trova is a top 5 cigar for me.

Last night's VI (2018) & now with a HDM Rio Seco (UAB SEP18). Both from our gracious host.

GLE MAR 2021 Topes orange dot.  Pinched the pigtail to no avail. Slight v cut and now the draw is loose. So far, it is a buttery, salty smoke with wood and earth tones. Slight coffee here and there. Burn is a tad wonky, but nothing that has needed correcting, yet.

When inventory was plentiful, it was a grading method that Prez used to sort boxes. Tuesday he’d offer PSP red dots or hand select orange dots which would be priced slightly higher since they were graded higher based on Robs selection process. Basically his personal opinion of the look and feel of the cigars in the box. On Friday he’d offer up clearance versions of the same cigars at a slightly lower prices, different color dot (yellow or green maybe). The team QC’d the cigars before shipping anyway, so they were and are still high quality. He has said the colors weren’t necessarily consistent since he’d run out of certain dot colors from time to time 😁. It felt like he was our personal buyers agent. We like to reference the dots as a fond reminder of days gone by.  And brag a little bit when we fire up a red or orange.

Ahh gotcha. A grading system that predates me. I’m going to pretend everything I’ve ordered is red dot.
