Inspired by the recent ‘great codes’ thread I broke into a box of Bolivar PC from MSU AGO 18.

They really do look and smell exemplary. Dark, golden, really aromatic. 

Christ it’s strong! I was pecking at this like a nervous lover. Masses of damp earth, rich leather, and still some pepper. Nothing dirty about it though, it’s just a properly full-bodied number.

HUP#2 PSP GEM ABR 20. The days of PSP!! Ok it's fantastic. For me these were always on the Full bodied side compared to the other CC offered here. I love them. No need to preach to the choir. And the Michter’s is damn good Rye. Too many cubes, I know, but its 102F here today.

Apparently Cuba has adopted “if it doesn’t fit, force it..” in their box filling process. Oh well, it’s from one of my favorite boxes and smoking just fine. They don’t need to be pretty to satisfy.. I think I’ve heard that adage as well. 😜

Very much enjoyed a Reyes this evening thanks to the recent FOH discussion of petit cigars.  

While it was not an overwhelming "wow" (as it did not exhibit the multitude of transitions that are possible from this vitola), it did present a lot of joy, and brought umami in the retros.  While I'd be challenged by current prices, this is a pleasant and worthy CC. Of course, the pairing can help
