Popular Post RDB
This was excellent. MOL DIC 18. I smoke about one a year…if I had one endless box it would probably be Lanceros.

Popular Post Jimmy2
Punch Regios de Punch Edición Limitada. Holds true to the Punch blend ! Just WoW! Like a Punch Punch on steroids layer and layer of rich punch flavor. Have to say it will get better with some age, once it truly mellows out.

He’s not kidding. Great little smoke in a great space with some shade from that ST sun.

Popular Post Darco
Cohiba Esplendidos from the 90s (date unconfirmed) Definitely a 90+ cigar and better than most of what Cuba can produce. But it reconfirms to me that the Esplendidos is not the greatest Cohiba. After around 30 years of age, the cigar is almost an aged lancero + extra, with not very impressive leaves. In my opinion, and on average, the Siglo line (when aged) is the best that you can get from Cohiba & from Cuba.
Popular Post Jerryvonkramer
Montecristo No 1 vs H Upmann Connoisseur A. As I transition into chilling out for summer, today I will be comparing and contrasting two classics I don’t get to smoke that often. The Monty 1 oozes class and was Sir Christopher Lee’s favourite stick, aside from the Sir Winnie, the A is my favourite Upmann. Two cans of root beer and some reading for company. Reviews follow. Monty 1 took a really long time to smoke, 2+ hours. A lot of barnyard, and then classic Monty coffee and cocoa, then back to barnyard towards the end. Cuban twang. Huge billows of smoke, several people stopped to see where the cigar smell was coming from. Connie A has to wait now. **ONE WHOLE DAY LATER** It took an hour. This was just absolutely gorgeous. Pure Upmann flavours, the shortbread and toasted tobacco, almost a buttery texture, for some reason evocative. Brought to mind the Bob Dylan line "see that sweet magnolia blooming". 10/10. One of the best cigars money can buy. The Connie A "won" and it was a curb stomp. It was a particularly good Connie A and a not that good Monty 1. Sancho Panza Belicoso. The most distinctive Cuban. Cream and SALT, maybe some cashew or something like that. Just superb. “Hits different”. Still need to find a box.

Popular Post Greenhorn2
ART MAY 2021. 3rd one out of the box and none have shown me the hype. They are well constructed, maybe a little loose on the draw for me, but no issues. The flavor profile just isn't hitting it for me. Getting some weird soapy woody out of the first 1/3. Maybe it will change up. Sig 4 from 2017. These are just starting to blossom IMO.
