Always like to try one before laying them down to trace the journey as it ages. Mellow, I got a lot of tea and old tobacco, bit of cedar. Didn’t really develop but it was very pleasant. In love with Upmann at the moment. Rafael Gonzales Corona de Lonsdale. Confusingly named since it is neither a Corona nor a Lonsdale. Right out of box. Pleasingly utilitarian band. Cherry / strawberry, sweet and little to no acidity. Great wine. First Malbec and Cab Franc I have. I’m on a mission to find amazing $20-$30 “daily” wines and this wine has made the list.
