An RE Friday with @Nate Chu C&C for a Saturday morning with this Sir Winston from 03. Today is going to be great if this cigar is anything to judge it by. What a super smooth star

First cigar of the year.

C&C ‘14 especiales. Fantastic start to the day C&C with a Monte 4 C&C time today with a Perla picked up from 24:24

Had a Sancho Panza belicosos last night and it was glorious.

Old powdered wood, hint of spice and those sweet salty undertones. Exactly what I wanted.

This weekend I smoked a couple C&Cs...

Quintero Nacional. Not bad put I preferred the Panatela. Jose L. Piedra Cazardor...sadly...almost flavorless.

One of my favorites, 02 Partagas Lonsdale yesterday. Today, my first MC Sublime EL. Nice cigar, tasting more like MC flavor than that "EL taste" that seems to prevail in many ELs no matter what the brand is.

Smoked my first Cuaba Distinguidos today. It had some draw problems (I think it was too wet). I really wanted to like it and it had it's moments, but overall... :)

Flor de Cano Petit Corona...meh. Nothing special.

The last night of a 3 day break from work.

In a row:

MAG 46 Hq 08 / Killuherr!

HDM dD Pe 08 / You were right Prez. I found this cigar! (RASS still sucks though. )

M4 Hq 09 / Wrap it up and put a bow on it!

2 main courses with a chocolate dessert!

Every now and then you just gotta give thanks! ;)

Last night a Jose L. Piedra Crema...not too shabby for a C&C...but a very light flavored cigar.

It used to be Fuente Short Story, but now I like the Monte #4. I'd like to say PSD4, but those knock me out after a long day. Anyway, I'd hardly call it "daily" since I've just started with CCs. :D

FEB 07 SLR DC. This cab has been consistantly fantastic, with oil dripping off each band. A good cigar for the first third, then the strength kicks in. No boring DC here. Yummy.

Last night I had a Trinidad Coloniales (07) with a glass of El Dorado 15. Very relaxing.

I haven't posted my smokes for a bit. The best recent cigar (besides my usual daily Partagas Connie 2) was a Ramon Allones German Regional Belicoso. wow. I am not a big regional guy, but this blend is excellent and should age like a mutha. Check em out.

Last night a H. Upmann Magnum 46 Tubo...delicious.

I had a wonderful Upmann Mag 46 from 08 the other night...hints of wood, almonds, vanilla, very nice. Also had a couple petiti edmundos for the first time and I was very impressed, plenty of the classic monte profile and power packed in small cigar...

07 RASS - for a while, never got into them. Of course now that the box is just about done, I am enjoying them!

Tonight a Cohiba Siglo I Tubo. Excellent smoke. Wish there was more of it.

Wonderful HQ Punch RS 12, with a local Riesling. Why why why are do these have to be discontinued?!?!?!?!

Had a SLR DC (SVF NOV 05, I believe) on Friday night with my father and it was very nice. Started of medium bodied, but got stronger. Lovely toasty tobacco with hints of vanilla/coffee and towards the end I swore it became kind of fruity. Great construction and the draw and burn were excellent. Paired it with some Lagavulin....a very nice evening overall

Drove to work at Dollar Point this A.M. (North from Squaw Valley), with Sir Winston and The Beatles (remastered  ) as my co-pilots.

Happy because I don't typically have the time. :) What a beautiful drive!

HdM EE [GAS SEP 08] with a cup of coffee on the roof this morning. Glorious pairing, started mild and built up to medium in final third. Tons of hazelnut and toasted tobacco

This weekend smoked a Juan Lopez no.1 on a sunny afternoon - big cedar kick, then plenty of sweet cream joined in. Smooth and enjoyable without grabbing too much attention, like SLR Serie A before they changed the blend. Discovered that corona gorda not so good for hanging out the washing - bit too long and thick to get easy grip in the mouth!

Also a cuaba divinos - lovely peanut butter flavour for all of 3mn before hitting the underfilled hump of the perfecto and turning into an ashy wind tunnel. V disappointing but not unprecedented with this cigar :-(
