Popular Post HailState Posted March 2, 2024 Popular Post Posted March 2, 2024 Smoked these two back to back this morning. The D6 is circa 2022, the Vegueros Mananitas is Feb 2016, so just hit the 8 year mark. I picked up the Mananitas on BR as I was curious about aging potential on Vegeuros after reading how polarizing they are. Can honestly say in this showdown, the Vegueros won (granted it had 6 years extra down time). I’ve read some people get a nasty herbal note in Vegueros cigars, this example did not have that. Light toasted tobacco throughout, with a sweet bell pepper note on the edges. More sweetness than bell pepper. Will probably dedicate the remaining 15 to being golf course or grilling cigars when it warms up. Not a cigar I will be putting into my main rotation, but with the age on it, it is definitely an enjoyable and solid cigar. 20 1

Never had bad Vegueros so far, even if they are young. 2 1

Lucky to have gotten a box last year. Lots of spice lingering on tip of tongue when young Looking for the petit lanceros next year… 3 1

Lfhard Posted March 3, 2024 Posted March 3, 2024 @jakebarnes it was very good. Yet I feel it could use a little longer down time. The end feels it hasn’t developed to its full potential yet. Still nubbed it.

Looking for the petit lanceros next year… Spice is something I have a hard time detecting with any cigar, maybe because I pair all my cigars with espresso or black coffee which brings out more sweetness and richness than spice or pepper. 1
