Popular Post BossHogg Posted February 26, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 26, 2024 Worked all day to get this 16" Exhaust Fan installed in the garage. Had to make several modifications to complete it. Just need to pick up some caulking tomorrow. Seems to work really well. Breaking it in with a Monte no 2 PTG Jun 20 from our host. 21

That’s a big sucker, do you have it on a variac or is it all or nothing? 1

Popular Post Cabbie Posted February 26, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 26, 2024 Just a custom roll. It's pretty fresh, I have some rested ones, and they're pretty swell. 16

Help me out a bit 😄 I don't remember reading anything about needing a variac. I know it comes with a speed/thermo controller. It's a 115V 0.85A according to the manual. That should be fine plugged into a garage 120V 15alA outlet, right?

Variac is just a speed control 😊 kinda like a gas pedal for an electric motor. 1

I enjoy them quite a bit, and they don't seem to need super long downtime to turn great, but I bet age does wonders for them. I'll have to see if I can hold onto a few for long term to see.

I have some Hamlet Rolls that are like 10-12 years old. Not saying that they all age well, but good ones do for sure. 1

Different rolling techniques to the best of my knowledge, maybe someone deeper in the rabbit hole can expand. I agree with your observation though, I’ve experienced similar. 1
