San Cristóbal de la Habana Oficios LCDH (FIN DIC05).

A wonderful weekend to you all.

How was it?  I have a FEB 06 box buried in the humidor somewhere. People seem to think the Oficios are the ugly stepchild of the three.

An RE Friday with @Nate Chu C&C for a Saturday morning with this Sir Winston from 03. Today is going to be great if this cigar is anything to judge it by. What a super smooth star

First cigar of the year.

C&C ‘14 especiales. Fantastic start to the day C&C with a Monte 4 C&C time today with a Perla picked up from 24:24

Had the pleasure of enjoying all three vitolas over the years but unfortunately, I am down to my last few of these ones. ☹️

The Oficios were definitely the most rustic looking of the three releases.

Despite their rustic appearance though, the two boxes I went through were impeccable. (FIN DIC05) & (EMA SEP08)

No issues whatsoever with burn, draw and overall construction. More than adequate smoke production as well.

Although not the most complex cigar, the flavours are well integrated and balanced.

Earthiness, notes of coffee and roasted nuts.

There is also a subtle hint of sweetness through the smoking experience.

The one I just smoked had plenty of legs left, to be quite honest.

Hope this helps, my fellow brother.

My 06 Oficos were severely underfilled. Tossed that box in trash during last move! Had better luck with Mercaderes and Muralla.

I don’t normally have a cigar or drink on weekdays, but today was a good day.
A project we dropped everything to take on here in Lahaina about 4 weeks ago resulted in the public unveiling of a temporary home prototype this morning, and the official groundbreaking of a 50 home development, to be completed by June. In attendance were the Mayor and our Governor, as this represents the first development of its kind on the West side to aid some of the thousands of locals who lost everything in the fire, and are struggling to find their sense of place again. In these times of uncertainty for so many, it presented a much needed interim solution, and gave people hope. And dammit if it hasn’t given me hope for the future of Lahaina too.

I’m gonna enjoy this ‘01 des Dieux, and a dram of Weller 12. Cheers gang!

Congrats!! Great to see this happening within the community. Wish you the best!
