In yet another stroke of Genius by the marketing arm of HSA, they released both an "Edmundo Dantes" and a "Montecristo Dantes" concurrently. The bands look similar, but aren't the same. Its two different cigars, with VERY similar names. The Belicoso is the "Edmundo Dantes" (brand) 2016 RE for Mexico. The Parejo is the "Montecristo Dantes" (no Edmundo) LE for 2016. The cigar posted above was/is a Dantes, it is NOT an Edmundo Dantes. Clear as mud, right? The rest are deep in the back of my humidor, they were so bad I would have felt bad trading or selling them off. I'll try to dig one out in the next few weeks to see if mine have improved as well. Same for me. The few I had sampled early on let me abstain from buying. Had nothing to offer for me, and I didn’t see anything promising there, either. But keeping my fingers crossed that yours will eventually come around, like Raskol’s obviously did! An early review here. An early review here. Confirmed by follow-ups. I went back and reread the two reviews I did and one echo's your review. Poor construction and very little going on flavor wise. The very first one I smoked (2nd link) was glowing. Unfortunately it was all down hill from there.
