LeafLover Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 '07 Boli PC. Wood, deep coffee bean, touch of sweetness, touch of citrus on the finish. Can't stay out of this box.
PADDYWHACK121272 Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 HdM marie with my morning coffee, 1/2 hour of amazing flavour and complexity from such a tiny stick. Smoke volume was greater than a monte 2 I pitched yesterday...
Gumball Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Last days were great !! Cohiba Siglo VI, I haven't tried this one for years and it was flavorful and very elegant.. H.Upmann n°2. A Re discover after years and much better to me than the MC2. SLR Churchill from a cab 50 AEP JUL06. The best SLR I had smoked for years...
groza Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 RyJ #1 Tubo ... mediocre, liked the #2 better. JLP Petit Cazadores ... small serving of cuban tobacco.
Michel1968 Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Hoyo du Deputé OPM OCT09 Good smoke with ginger bread and lots of nutty cream.
lemmycaution Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 HdM marie with my morning coffee, 1/2 hour of amazing flavour and complexity from such a tiny stick. Smoke volume was greater than a monte 2 I pitched yesterday... I smoked one from an 09 box the other day. Just like you said, it was really good. The Du Maire has got to be one of the smallest hand rolled cigars I've smoked. I like the way they look bundled in the "mini-cab".
LeafLover Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Started with an SCdlH El Principe. Tight. Got to halfway and gave up.....tossed it. Picked up a Parti Short. Shout out to Smithy. I get you brotha. Both cigars are great. SCdlH more prone to bad rolls. But, IMO, the king that rules this format is the Trini Reyes.
samb Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Por Larry Montecarlo. Outstanding smoke, with a G and T.
Stalebread Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Yesterday afternoon: SLR DC, August '06. Strong fruity notes. Good.
partagasd4 Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 All my midterms are done now, so I rewarded myself with a D4 today
thechenman Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Smoked a few this past 4th of July weekend. The Cuban smokes were... Romeo y Julieta Romeo No. 3 Tubo Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure Especial Punch Petit Coronation Tubo Partagas Corona Junior Tubo Montecristo Petit Tubo Hoyo de Monterrey Coronation Tubo H. Upmann Corona Minor Tubo H. Upmann Corona Junior Tubo Yes...I've been on a Tubo tear recently...slowly trying them all out.
Bartolomeo Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Choix 06........very good 9/10 JL #1 08.........good ROTT VR Famosos 09.......Surprisingly good fresh Bart
SamuraiJack Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Had a sublime PSD4 last night that burned perfectly here in the Chicago humidity. Accompanied by a Pisco Sour.
thechenman Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Last night an '09 Punch Coronations Tubo. Bit of a tight draw. Definite Punch flavors, but did not impress me overall.
tdlfoto Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Last night I sat out on the porch with a tall Mojitos and enjoyed a RyJ Coronas...nice easy smoke with cedar and sweetness coming through. I only have a few singles but could see this being a great everyday kinda smoke.
LeafLover Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Dip 4 Trini Reyes .....was a good evening. Then went to watch Eclipse with my wife that night as she was feeling down. Can't wait for Predators to come out.
Michel1968 Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Juan Lopez Petit Corona SCO ABR01. Pretty good smoke! Will have one again tomorrow and try for a review.
bassman Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Tatuaje Noella & a swett, creamy 01 VR DA yesterday. Powerful 97 BCE this morning.
samb Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Super VR Familiar with sweet tea. A great way to start the day!
lemmycaution Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 An 09 BBF-really great sweet and earthy flavors.
elderboy02 Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Cubao No. 3 Lancero '06 PSD4 La Gloria Cubana Artesanos de Miami Artesanito
gk404 Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 Had a Sancho Panza Molinos, I should say I "tried" to have a Sancho Panza Molinos but the cigar had a really tight draw. I really hate it when that happens... what a disappointment
Guest rob Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 Sunday afternoon saw me attempt to enjoy a Montecristo Sublime 2008 EL. I think Habanos didn't realise that adding a flame proof wrapper to a cigar was someone counterproductive. They whould have saved those wrappers and sold them as fire retardent blankets.
