Sorry if I'm thick, ...but is "Corker" a bad thing or a good thing?  I was thinking that it was "bad" (as in, plugged) but it may be that I'm not attuned to current usages.  ...As in, "it's been a minute" which I didn't understand till last year, in the U.S. at least, really means "it's been way too long."   No doubt I'm showing a certain age.

A corker is a good thing - https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/corker

I can definitely see why you might think plugged, but I'm not sure the English language was heavily influenced by poorly rolled Cuban cigars, though the origins of the term are not the most clear cut so you never know.

Today's Montecristo no. 1 from a "Coleccion Vintage Jar" of 19 purchased in 2020 from a Spanish vendor.  Meant to be a circa 2008 stick, so ~15 year old tobacco.  I'm a sucker for a lonsdale, but these remain the biggest disappointment of my habanos purchasing career.  They all look fine & feel fine and burn flawlessly but I just can't taste anything from them at all.  I smoke one down every so often to remind myself never to get sold another expensive piece of porcelain.
