Sparked up a Punch DC for a special C&C time in remembrance of my Grandma who just passed away.  She must have put in a good word with the Cuban Cigar Gods .... Cigar of the year so far for me.

My 96YO uncle was laid down to rest earlier today.  He was a thin, peppy man to the end.  This cigar is fitting.

My first ever Monte no. 3, from an FoH box ROP OCT 2021 ... high summer temperatures and ambient humidity in excess of 90% were a drag on performance, but that said the stick burned well and I could taste the cocoa powder which paired well enough with my corporate coffee.

@rjake100 and I enjoyed our first of the 2023 Nudie Lanceros today.  Very, very enjoyable.  Delicious start and first and second thirds, especially.  Its youth only showed once, in a very short bump around the transition from the 2nd to the 3rd/3rds.   Interestingly, it happened for both of our cigars at almost the exact same time and point.  (Curious if anyone else sensed that.)  

The other curious thing was the observance of very small bumps, both on the wrapper and, eventually, within the ash, which may show better in the second pic.  Again, flavors were just wonderful, so bumps-or no-bumps it is a VG cigar, IMO, showing even better promise for the future.  I had just never noticed those small "bump" characteristics on a cigar before; just curious.  

Looking fwd to revisiting these in another month.

Agreed!  I’m surprised at how well these have evolved with time — smoking beautifully now.  For my palate, I’ve never enjoyed NCs as much as CCs (in general) but these ‘21 Rosado Lanceros have become delicious.  Rob has said the new ‘23 Lanceros are even a level better — very much looking forward to them with a year down.
